A group of us stayed here and it was one of the best hotels during our stay in Sri Lanka. The rooms were lovely and clean. The staff were so helpful and obliging. The gardens were magnificent. Highly recommend this even for a night as it is quite expensive.

Great property, awesome crew, yummy food, spacious rooms, speck less cleanliness. Staff ever ready to cater your requirements. Lots of indoor activity options, cycles for a morning ride, a good tennis clay court. All good for a premium price.

Thank you for the genuine, gleaming review of the Governor's Mansion. We appreciate your honesty and openness. Little concerned about the title .....a fat pocket? I would sincerely wish to explain the following. a) The standard room charge in a comparable hotel (whilst it is hard to find one with such a history)or even a basic Colombo business hotel with...

My friends and I stayed at the mansion for a few days during the end of July 2016. We had a lovely time at the mansion and it was an extremely rejuvenating experience. The location by itself is spectacular and so blended with nature that, one could just gape at the cloud kissed peaks at a distance and forget time....

I happened to stay in this mansion when there is no other guests beside my family. But I believe the hotel is great with or without other guests and the level of the service will still be good standard Hotel: Located away from the main road, around 15 minutes drive away. It is a very nice colonial style hotel within...

Thank you for your detailed, honest, candid review. Governor's Mansion is two hundred and sixteen years old. (216). The building is still the original building. It was not easy to renovate and bring back the past glory in such a historic building, still not taking the heart out of the place. Our proprietors have done their utmost to achieve what...

I was looking into a place where we (2 adults and 2 kids) can stay in a suite in Nuwara Eliya. I looked into Ceylon tea trails but they were sold out. I booked Governor's Mansion which was in the vicinity and reviews were good. My family and I had one of the best times in Governor's Mansion. We were...

My wife and I spent three nights and celebrated her birthday in the hotel. We stayed in the Queen's Suite. The accommodation was excellent with some glorious views from our room. The cuisine was excellent as well and the service was superb. At all times we felt like house guests in a country manor rather than the fact that we...

After confirming directions from passerby's, we started to see the signs for gov mansion. We have never been so privileged to have such a detailed review. Our valued guest does however answer her own minor queries/misperceptions herself in the review. Therefore it is not necessary for us to comment regarding the contradictions seen in the review. May I sincerely clarify that the road from Dickoya to the entrance of our estate is a public...

My sister and myself spent two nights in this wonderful colonial mansion. We can only say: FANTASTIC!
