Been staying here off and on again for several years. Never again. - Reception shuts 5pm. - Bed was short sheeted and full of hairs. - Old pilled sheets. Not sure if it has changed hands but disgusting this time. Plenty of better options not far away, cleaner, better maintained and more convenient. Not worth the $10 savings in tariff over other much better options in town. A positive, the towels were in good condition, white and fluffy. Another, the location is quiet - off the highway a fair way.
Arrived here and the room was clean and bed made well. Opened the sliding door to look at a desert. The grass was dead and had not been watered for a long time. Outside our room next to table and chairs was a large tin of cigarette buts. The veranda had not been swept in months. Decided to go for a swim in pool. Towels supplied by reception. The pool was revolting. Bugs swimming in dirty water. Looked like mud at one end of pool. Swim was cancelled. Staff were friendly and supplied bottled water as room water was not drinkable. Plenty of kangaroos around. The bathroom needed a makeover..
What an absolute dump! On arrival, no-one to be seen at all. Other guests waiting to order drinks. Eventually, I sat on the horn of my car and finally someone turned up. Room...messy and untidy. Furniture out front dirty. My sliding door...you needed to be Hercules and than some to open it.. The bed..mattress is so old....I hated my stay here...never again!
Took a short vacation with a friend and stayed at Renmark Resort. All we wanted was a pool and when we arrived it was closed for "maintenance" but the sign on the gate said closed due to COVID. Upon checkout we were told it had opened the previous evening but we had not been advised. The restaurant was not open on the Sunday night (which is fine) do we decided to eat there on the Monday night. After a few drinks we walked to the restaurant and there was a sign saying the chef had called in sick. Again, we were not notified, couldn't drive anywhere and the "resort" is 10kms out of Renmark. Thank goodness Domino's delivered or we would have gone hungry. Room not serviced after first night so put the please service sign out the next day. They did not restock coffee, milk or soap. The end of the bed sheet was hanging out and the toilet had not been cleaned. Being on the golf course and near vineyards and orchards, gas guns went off every morning and evening. Thankfully we knew what they were and knew we were not under attack. Would be awful for someone with PTSD to not be warned about this. My friend complained when we checked out and the poor girl at reception said she would get the manager to phone.....still waiting for the phone call over 3 weeks later. Terrible, terrible, terrible.…
A resort almost on the banks of the Murray and the water is not potable. Unbelievable! Our room blind torn, fly screen door jammed. Time for some maintenance. Restaurant not up to resort standard, you are better off to eat at the pub in town. Not a happy experience.
