Breeze Caravan Park Kathryn

We had a fantastic stay here in a Glamping tent. From the super warm reception through to the quality of the tent (air-conditioned) through to the facilities, I was very impressed with this location. The grounds are well maintained, the caravan spots are large, and the amenities blocks are top class. It was also generously sprinkled with barbecue areas.

There was also a big pool but it could probably do with a few extra lazy chairs.

There’s also a very big laundry area and it only cost four dollars for a load.

I was floored by the reception when I checked in. The staff member that served me had the biggest smile and made me feel so welcome upon arrival. I even had to change my booking from two nights to one night and she said that although they can’t give me a cash refund they could give me a credit or I could spend that credit in store. The credit was good for all Breeze caravan parks. I decided just to buy some wine instead. Although I didn’t get a cash refund it was as good as cash and I appreciated the flexibility.

The park is about six minutes from the centre of town. This is a good thing because it is very quiet and feels very secure. Katherine can be known for its late night early-morning noise and it can be unsettling if you’re staying in the city. But no such problems here.

It’s also very close to the Katherine Springs. Although you can walk to them, it’s Better to drive if you’re going in the middle of the day.

I’ve been on the road in my Mobile Home for over the past 8 months and have found Katherine Holiday Park is by far the most well managed Park that I’ve stayed at. Extended my stay for total of 5 weeks because the Park is a pleasure to stay at. The current managers deserve high accolades for their constant hard work ethic, friendliness to travellers and ability to make a stay memorable. Thanks again for making my stay so pleasant.

Set on 44 acres and spaces out nicely. Large campsites with mature trees for shading on most sites. There was not much grass for camping on at the unpowered sites so it could get a bit dusty. Excellent toilets and camp kitchen. Kids loved the pool and the on-site restaurant does good food at reasonable prices if you want a night off from cooking.

We booked for two nights and ended up staying for five. The unpowered sites had great shade (you could choose where to set up), the camp kitchen was great and always clean as were the bathrooms. It has a huge pool with shade sails over it and a little spa. Being a bit out of town also meant it was quiet!
The food at the restaurant was lovely too.
It’s walking distance to a grassy park with a small playground and river. If you wanted to you could walk or ride to the springs.

This is a lovely park and its HUGE!. We stayed in a cabin which has everything we needed just add food and drink. It was just out of town which was perfect as it was a nice quiet location. The restaurant on the premises food is amazing, it was so yummy and quick when we ordered it .It was pricey for what food and alcohol you got but it was convenient and enjoyable.

We hired a deluxe cabin - it could sleep 4 in bunks and a queen bed. Very quiet, peaceful place - lots of bird life which was lovely to watch with our morning coffee! The check in after hours was very easy. It was beautifully clean and cool. We had a lovely stay and enjoyed dinner at the on-site Fig Tree restaurant.

Beautifully kept park. Clean amenities. Very helpful managers, thanks Tracey and Darren ( I hope I got that right). The Fig Tree Bar and Bistro wasn’t open yet but we caught a Courtesy Bus to the Katherine Club and return whenever we were ready ( provided by the Club). All in all a very enjoyable stay. Will definitely be back.

Overnight stay with a van. Park is large and at this time of the year you are able to choose a site well away from any others. Sites are green and most are shaded at some time during the day.
Amenities are absolutely spotless and modern. Laundry is great and plenty of clothes line space.
Lovely large pool and an on-site restaurant ( though we didn’t make use of this).
Easy access to an on site dump point.
A short walk through the park and over the road takes you to the Low Level Nature Park above the Katherine River.
Have stayed here prior to this trip and will stay again when in town. Excellent park.

The grounds are huge and are very nice and well maintained. Close enough to the Low Bridge Nature Walk for a nice afternoon stroll. The cabins are near the pool and cafe, away from the vans and are in a circle around a lovely shaded grassed area. The airconditioned cabins themselves are very private with gardens around them as well.

Cabins have an outside deck with seating for arvo drinks. Dining table, lounge and comfortable beds. Kitchen had all that we needed. Bathroom is a bit small in comparison to the rest of the cabin but workable and hot showers.

We booked into the onsite bistro and had a lovely dinner under the stars with candles, fairy lights and a great meal. Staff at the bistro were lovely.

The only negative was the lack of washing machines and dryers. This is a huge park and there was a constant line up.

Would recommend staying here.

The gorge is 35kms from the Katherine holiday park. We booked our trip through the information centre in Katherine. Our trip was $170 each which also included a beautiful dinner with a complimentary champagne. A beautiful afternoon/evening with a magical sunset.
