Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very helpful staff who understand the needs of people travelling commercially to this area.
They shared information about Moura and the local area. When I let them know that I would be getting in town after hours they kindly arranged for a hot meal to be in my room for when I arrived.

A very friendly motel which was spotlessly clean & close to everything. We were only there for one night but wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. The restaurant was closed due to COVID but we had food delivered to our room by the motel. All very good.

Wanted to see the miners memorial and pleasantly surprised to find it right across the road from the motel, very friendly staff, informative, told us where we could get a meal, including the dining room or the local pub just a few minutes walk away, spacious roo, neat and tidy, good nights sleep

Very welcoming on arrival and explained all the various eating options in town. We chose to buy Chinese take-away and they very cheerfully sorted crockery and cutler for us. Really big room and very comfy bed. Although right on the highway, you don't hear the traffic. Breakfast the next day was really good.

This large 39-room Motel caters mainly to miners working at the nearby Dawson Mine but they were so quiet, even in their early-morning (i.e. 0500) departures, that you hardly noticed them. We had a "deluxe twin" room ($161.00), painted in a soft pastel yellow, with a large-ish (1.5 metre high) refrigerator but, paradoxically, quite small hanging space in the wardrobe and an inadequate space for toiletries in the bathroom. A microwave, toaster, jug and the requisite china and cutlery were supplies, a nice surprise. The wifi is free but the dining room seemed to have been reserved for the exclusive use of the long-term miners, which is fair enough given their continuity and difficult hours. Room service was available but the new, and quite outstanding, Moura Tavern was a couple of streets away (closer to Emerald) was a great alternative. The "twin" beds comprised a queen and a single. There was also a trundle bed which could have been wheeled into the annex 2.5 X 2.5 metres adjoining the bathroom. The iron board was half-sized. We felt utterly at home and enjoyed two restful and relaxing nights there en route to Karumba.

I was very tired by the time I found myself in Moura. Up until then I’d never even heard of the place.

But dusk was pending and the kangaroos were huge and getting ready to hit the road so I decided on the nearer Motel.

I was pleasantly surprised.

The managers were welcoming and friendly.

The rooms were clean, beds comfortable, showers hot ... everything was just what I needed at the end of a long days drive.

I felt save the car was safe ... and reasonably priced too.

I’d go back there if I happen past there again.

Booked into here site unseen - very friendly welcome at reception and were advsied that they have evening meals in a dining room plus can do lunches and breakfast in a package as well - room was large and well appointed nice and clean. Jug, toaster, microwave, plates and some cuterlery were available as well. Bed was a tad hard and had the usual wrestle with motel pillow but apart from that quite a good stay.

Generous sized, well presented rooms with a very comfortable bed. Though it is the people you meet that form lasting impressions. John & Valarie know what hospitality is about, so I would recommend this motel just because of their professionalism.
