This is a great hotel to stay in if you like somewhere lively. We loved it. It is situated next to the daily market which runs from 6.30am to 10am. The market is full of food cooked ready to eat and uncooked food to take away. It is also an easy walk into the old town centre where the Sunday market with crafts (and more food) runs from 4pm. There are many cheap food outlets within 100 yards of the hotel: a typical price for a meal for 2 with beer was 300baht. As well as a permanent indoor market across the road the night market is just a bit further away. We loved the buzz around the hotel and it was great for our first experience of Thailand (and Asia). One downside for some people might be that the sound of motorbikes never really stops.

The hotel itself was of the high standard expected from Accor. The staff were very friendly always smiling and helping with any requests. The manager took a permanent interest - asking us about our experiences. The room had an excellent bathroom with a really good shower - very handy in the Thai heat! It had shower gel, shampoo, body lotion, conditioner, tooth cleaning kit, razor, sewing kit and bars of soap which is a rarity these days. There was a somewhat eccentric replacement so we ended up at one point with 4 conditioners and no shampoo. (Replacement of the tea/coffee was also inconsistent). They did provide replacements when asked. There was a nice balcony where you could watch the world go buy.

Most of the guests were Asian and this was reflected in the food. Breakfast had a wide choice and you didn’t have to have curry for breakfast but we did. No one was left hungry and crucially (for me) the coffee was excellent. Few people seemed to eat in the restaurant in the evening but given the food world outside this is not really surprising. We did have some ‘tapas’ at the roof bar. Beware - even the small cheese platter was a real challenge to eat.

We were very happy to have stayed here.

We stayed here during our required quarantine to enter Thailand. We stayed in an “Executive” room, which was spacious and the beds were comfortable. There was also a sofa, a lounge chair, two sitting chairs, and a desk. Even though we weren't confined to our room under the sandbox program, we spent quite a bit of time inside so it was great to have space to lay down a yoga mat and not have it be in the way.
The only downside was that our TV didn’t have an HDMI port, so we could only watch the hotel’s selection of about 20 channels.

I opted in on the breakfast and it was a great deal. The first day we had room service, which was disappointing because the food we received didn't match the words on the menu or the ideas they conjured in my head. However, every day after that we ate in the restaurant and it was fabulous, made-to-order, and plentiful. The last day we were there, they had a buffet breakfast which had even more choices.

This hotel is located very conveniently located near a fresh market, Thai shopping “malls” and restaurants as well as McDonalds, KFC, Robinson department store, Tops supermarket, and two locations of Kim's massage, which I wish I made more time for. The touristy Old Town area is an easy mile walk with lots of restaurants, stores and other hotels along the way.

Their website price is the same as if you contact them directly. Booking online is easier because you don’t have to deal with time change and that way, you enter your credit card information yourself. I will definitely stay here again!

Good But Not 5 Stars

Friendly staff if you engage them. Shout-outs especially to Krus Tiki, Michael, and Tim. Amor restaurant breakfast is large, but too heavy with carbs that cater to the mostly Chinese guests. Avoid crowds and noise by eating outside in the dessert bar. Rooms are decent and clean, but not luxurious.

Note the hotel is not in walking distance of the beach. Old Town is about 15 minutes away. Hotel driver Kru Moy made everything outside the hotel much closer. A taxi each way to Soi Ta-ied for muay thai training is 400 baht each way and takes 20 minutes. Rent a scooter if you are experienced.

This trip was only concentrated in the city, so I chose an international chain hotel. Overall, the hotel's hardware is a bit old. We booked a family room, and there were some stains on the floor between the two inner doors in the middle, which was obviously neglected by the housekeeping department. Generally speaking, it still maintains the cleanliness that a chain hotel should have. The most commendable thing is that the hotel provides relatively environmentally friendly toiletries.

I am used to exercising in the morning. The hotel swimming pool is small and the gym is too cold. It is definitely cold enough to catch a cold immediately after sweating, and the fitness equipment is not well maintained. Since the swimming pool is not enough, then put some thought into the gym. After all, most people now have the habit of going to the gym.

The Chinese and Western breakfasts provided by the hotel also have Thai curry fish ball rice noodles that locals are used to eating. Although I didn't try it, it was very interesting to read its introduction. One of the catering managers, Jackie (I guess it should be) took good care of us. It may be because of the off-season for tourism. The restaurant is very quiet and you can eat breakfast slowly, drink coffee, and be in a daze.

There are two Thai massage shops within a 5-minute walk of the hotel. They are medium-sized and reasonably priced, just like the market price. The same price is a relatively small-scale massage shop in Bangkok, but it is indeed a larger shop in downtown Phuket. It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk from the hotel to the city center, and you can see many snack shops and bubble tea shops in the middle. The location is convenient and very quiet at night. There are few cars and people. I like it very much. Usually I walk back to the hotel slowly after the foot massage.

Convenient location, good service, the hotel is in Phuket town, near the morning business market, fruit is very fresh, the night there are a lot of local stalls and roadside restaurants, taste good and very cheap, rent a motorcycle to go to the shopping malls and supermarkets, as well as the massage is very convenient, suitable for friends like us want to slow down to experience the local flavor of Thailand, very recommended ~ the hotel service is very intimate, I would like to thank my friends Tar, Toto and Paul, I have a torn ligament in my ankle and I can't move easily, Tar helped me up the steps with both hands in front of the hotel every time and told me to walk slowly and don't be in a hurry, she cared about my foot every day to see if my foot is getting better or not, Paul is a very handsome boy, when I came back to the hotel, he came out from the front desk to help me, and he let me ride on his arm to go up the steps, he is very gentlemanly. Every time I came back to the hotel they both greeted us very kindly. Toto was very polite, every time we went out to play or came back to the hotel he always opened the gate in advance and helped me with my wheelchair, took care of me to get on the motorbike and helped us with our luggage when we came back, he was very cute with a smile. The three friends were conscientious and professional and passionate about their work. This hotel is truly a home away from home and made us feel warm in a foreign country~

Stayed 5 days 4 night end April with family.

The good: Check in was super efficient (prob cuz I was still under test & go during my stay), hotel staff very helpful w my deliveries, bookings, questions etc and I had all my ALL membership benefits given to us without having to ask (I had other stays in other Accor hotels in other countries where I had to ask before benefits are given). Hotel bar at level 18 has good views of the city. Room was comfortable, large and clean. Bed was comfy. My room had a balcony which was great. Toilet was big and shower area was huge. Very powerful jet and hot shower.

To improve: rooms were relatively spartan prob cuz mine was a superior. Looking a little dated as well can do with some upgrading such as adding some USB charging ports apart from the standard three pin. Also room slippers looks washed and reused cuz mine was very grey and old looking. Towels also getting a little threadbare. Housekeeping is only once every 3 days due to covid but they are happy to clean if you ask them.

Location is close enough to city center, walking distance and near to restaurants or markets. Nothing much in the immediate vicinity of the hotel though, a lot of shops are closed. But just a bit of walking will do.

This is a beautiful hotel and we enjoyed our stay, our only wish is if the hotel could have friendly front desk staff members. Staff members at Avani Hotel in Bangkok had set the bar very high and unfortunately the front desk staff here couldn’t reach that level. We would like to thank the Housekeeping staff for going all out! The room was very beautiful and clean. The romantic turndown was also beautifully and professionally done!
Overall this property has a good location and I would go back there again if I ever get the chance. There is a street market behind the hotel with good food and is very close to Phuket Old Town.
