I love this place. The water Super clear. Not so many people come to this area. Bar a bit expensive and BBQ food was great. We were lucky no rain during these day. I will be back to this island. Just perfect if you need privacy!

This was the highlight of my Phuket trip. I booked a day tour with Andaman to visit Maiton Island for a day. Phi Phi island was disappointing due to the excessive tourists all around, so I had hopes Maiton would offer me what I was looking for in Phuket. From the minute I stepped off the boat, I was in... We visited Maiton Island after being disappointed with he other more famous islands and beaches in Phuket. We didn't have high expectations going in. We opted for the speedboat to get to the island (I highly recommend this as you will get to the island first!) Maiton exceeded ALL of our expectations. It looks like something you would see in... Turquoise water, cristal clear, white sand, good place for snorkeling and the most important thing, is not crowded. Price to go there is around 2200 baht, distance around 30 minutes by speed boat. Better choice than Phi Phi or other excursions where you are like in a marathon. Here you have all day to enjoy and relax.

Typical light blue sea with white sand... Nothing to say... It is a private island and you pay a fee I access the beach. 800 bth each , ca. 20 euro, including sunbed, umbrella and lunch at buffet. Unfortunately there were not enough sunbed available, some broken and no umbrella. We complained to the manager but he just said, "I'm... More

We have been on many of the Phuket day trips and we chose this as something different. Love anderman operate from the phuket port and their facilities could only be called squalid and a work in progress? That aside the boats were new and the guide did a great job of managing his multi nationality group. We snorkelled before lunch... More

Went there on a day trip from Phuket after watching a presentation of the island on the Thai TV. It might not suit for many tourist coming on holidays in Phuket as apart from a beautiful beach and clear water, there are not much to do there but I am resident in Phuket and it is for me a perfect... If you read the tour brochure and listened to the operator hype you would think that you were going to a brand new, just opened to the public island resort. However, that is not the case. Maiton Island (Honeymoon Island) was once a grand and luxurious resort. There were once approximately 70 villas with classic red tile roof, white cement... More

Stayed at this resort in February, and I have never seen spectacular views like this ever. Relaxed afternoons snorkelling and swimming. Amazing. The island is going through a refurbishment process and when complete and reopen to the public, will be stunning.

I have stayed there since the property opened backm in 1991 - the real problem on Maiton is the food which historically has been very bad. They have NEVER had a proper F&B person to run the food outlets. This is due to the low occupancy and the high costs assoicated with operating 1st class food facilities. There was a... More
