Panwaburi Beachfront Resort offers a mixed bag, according to guests. While the pristine pools and recreation facilities generally impress and the atmosphere is lauded for its beauty and comfort, especially for special occasions, service quality is inconsistent, ranging from exceptional to rude and unresponsive.
The hotel's isolated location is a point of contention, requiring transportation for any excursions. Room conditions have raised concerns over mold and cleanliness, which, alongside the perceived high cost and lack of amenities, leads some to question the resort's value.

Detailed Reviews
The only thing that was impressive about this hotel was the aesthetic, the pool, the transparent canoe that was hog by social media addicts with their tripods & cameras and of course the view of the pool from the room, that was spectacular if you don't count the close proximity of your neighbours next door and opposite. This hotel is better suited for couple only not for family with older kids. Breakfast selection was so limited, again this hotel only caters for people who are there for the photos, not for the food or location etc. It does nothing great for my mental health. We were only given 1 keycard, when request for another keycard, wewere told that we need to put a deposit of extra 500 baht. Requested for a late check to 1pm instead of 12 pm, and was told that i need to pay 75% of the room rate if I want a late of check out at 1pm. Location is very far from everything else. We were told the journey to Phuket old town will take about 20 mins by car, turns out it takes about50 mins one way to go to Phuket Old Town. Need to take grab/bolt to everywhere. Nearest 7/11 is about15-20 mins walk. For those that goes there with older children or friend, bear in mind that the toilet is an open concept, no door to the actual bathroom, just the shower /toilet cubicle and glass is slightly tinted. You can see almost everything from the bed. Can be quite awkward. If you want privacy and enjoy some quiet time with your partner, this is the hotel for you. Otherwise, it is suitable for anyone else.

Check in was from 15:00, we arrived at 14:30. Reception was PACKED, we queued for half an hour to check in, which was at 15:00. We did not get the key to our room until 15:45. When I asked the receptionist why this was, she said they needed 10 minutes to clean the room - not sure why this then room 45!
Room was nice, bed was comfy but the excess of light switches take a while to figure out. The shower leaked out into the room significantly. We paid more for a pool access room but in hindsight would not have, as it meant people were directly outside our room taking pictures ALL day. The pool was also slightly colder than was comfortable, as it does not get much sun at all. There was a strong smell of drains around the hotel. The location isn’t great, we hired a motorbike from the hotel which was cheap and used that to explore a bit further. As other reviews have mentioned, there is an obscene amount of people taking pictures constantly around the hotel, it actually was laughable. It didn’t feel relaxing at all as there were people with cameras everywhere at all times, you couldn’t lay by the pool without being in pictures or videos! Though that isn’t really the hotels fault, it is definitely something to bear in mind if you’re thinking of booking.

We had a long stay at this hotel (10 nights) and overall, we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is absolutely beautiful with 2 swimming pools and an amazing design. This hotel is perfect for a getaway couple vacation or a family stay. Located away from the crowded central areas of Phuket, this place allows you to avoid masses of tourists and relax. The beach is located right in front of the hotel across a small road. I would recommend going to the beach right behind the cliff as the water is much clearer. Different pool areas allow you to either enjoy the calmness and nature or listen to the music by the bar and get delicious cocktails. Nearby the hotel, there are some small restaurants and shops, massage boutiques, as well as Maki stands right in front of the hotel. Some of the negative points include the fact that there is very little privacy in the room as the doors of the toilet and shower are transparent, absence of the covered closet as only space to hang clothes exists. Additionally, it is important to note that the hotel is located quite far away from areas like Patong and Old Town so you would need to get a taxi every time you go anywhere and for a family of 5, the taxi fees can escalate real fast. I would recommend for the hotel to put in place a shuttle service at least once a day to improve the guest experience and add other varieties of fruits at breakfast. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place

Honestly one of the worst customer service in this hotel. The staff seem careless and will say no to everything. The restaurant staff ignorant and immature only talking to each other and laughing about customers. They will not even bring cutlery to your table or glass with your drink during dinner. When I asked for a glass with my cola the girl seemed confused and brought a glass overfilled with ice. The rooms are not clean and smell of vomit and weed for rooms next door. Also you will find lots of bugs especially at night. The location is bad there is not much around and it is so far from everywhere you will end up paying for the taxi to go to most places as it is far away from everything. If you have a flight in the evening be prepared the hotel will not allow you to do late check out even if you suggest to pay extra for it.
The hotel is only nice for taking pictures in the pool but that is pretty much about it. Don’t get fooled by social media if you want a relaxed holiday with good service this is definitely not the right hotel.

As a hotel manager from Turkey, I would like to give three headings:
1- Paid or free car service should be provided to the city at certain hours.
This can turn the disadvantage of being far from the city center and beautiful beaches into your favor. Because taxis are expensive and the facility is far from beaches and Phuket centers such as Patong.
2- There are no hangers or cupboards in your rooms. You must ensure this and solve it.
You should offer an option such as a laundry drying room or device in the floor corridors. Things smell due to lack of hanging space and high humidity.
3- Everything ends at 21:00 in the evening and the lack of facilities around the facility has turned this place into an old people's dormitory. This must be resolved.
* Room cleaning is good
* Pool cleanliness is questionable
* Food menu is sufficient
* Activity is missing
* Bar presentations are inadequate
* Staff is friendly and helpful
* Air conditioning filters should be cleaned
* Ash plates should be placed in rooms with balconies. (I saw cigarettes in the pool)

Stunning Hotel! Absolute paradise! Looks exactly as it does in the pictures and was very reasonable priced for the quality! Staff are friendly and helpful, the food is a good price and great quality. The room was great, comfy bed and pillows!
A couple of things to note:
1) If you’re planning on using the hotel as a base to explore the other areas of Phuket, it’s a bit a far out. We did 2 trips during our 3 night stay and found we had to pay extra as the tour companies wouldn’t include the pickup due to the hotels location.
We did take a trip into Phuket town by taxi, it was 386 BHT each way through the Bolt App, around £10 at the time of the trip.
Definitely haggle or use the Bolt app as you’ll find taxi’s outside the hotel asking for 1200 BHT!
2) There’s not much around the hotel, shop/restaurant or bar wise like there is in Kata/Karong/Patong, so you’re pretty much stuck with the hotel offering, which is still cheap! There is a couple of small beach bars around the corner which are within walking distance around a small cove.
3) The hotel does not have its own bar, you can still order drinks to the poolside or your room until 10pm, so not a massive issue, but odd given the size of the hotel.
If you’re planning on booking and not leaving the resort, it really is perfect. If you’re planning on travelling around to see other areas, it can add to the cost and you might be better staying Patong or Phuket Town. We knew about the above before staying, but it might disappoint if you’re not aware before you go!

Instagrammable hotel. Young girls come here to take pictures. It's beautiful, but there's nothing to do for more than a day. The area itself is empty, there is nothing in the area except many villas, apparently a fairly wealthy contingent lives here and parks their boats in the bay. The beach is calm, there are no waves, but the bottom is muddy, not everyone will want to swim. If you are coming on vacation for two weeks, it is better to come here for a couple of days, do not stay for the entire period.
The hotel has no territory, except for the pool, and there is nowhere to walk
The hotel is definitely not 5 stars. They provide 2 towels per person - for feet and body, nothing to dry hands with. They don't give more. Breakfast is ordinary, in some 4-star hotels it is better. Breakfast until 10, apparently made so that everyone wakes up and then orders an Instagrammable breakfast in a basket to take photos 😂
There are no clothes dryers and no laundry facilities. To wash clothes, you have to walk 20 minutes uphill 😂
Definitely a beautiful place to visit, but does not live up to the stated service

We stayed for 2 nights on 24th and 25th February for my birthday. I really don't understand all these negative reviews as our experience was the complete opposite. All staff we encountered were friendly including reception staff, we never encountered anyone rude. The concierge when you arrive helps you get bags out of taxi and check in, then shows you tomorrow room without bags and did so with a smile.
Pool
We arrived around 1pm and we got straight in the pool and had a go of the canoe. We were expecting it to be a lot busier given its an insta hotel but we were pleasantly surprised. The pool area is beautiful, yes it doesn't get much sun but you have the rooftop bar for that and to be honest it was nice to get out of the 38 degree heat for a bit. Pool area is well maintained and the lush vines and scenery is what sets this hotel above any of the others we stayed in during our travels.
Room
Room is spacious, clean and well laid out. Yes we went as a couple so I can see if going with a friend how it might be a bit of a problem. As it was my birthday on the 25th they had even decorated the bed with rose petals and also brought me a bit of birthday cake. Out of all the hotels we had told it was my birthday whilst in Thailand, this was the only one to make the effort. Bed is comfy. We have absolutely no complaints about the room at all. We had a pool view room too which was lovely.
Food
We only had the breakfast here and couldn't complain, plenty of choice fresh fruit, cereals, meats etc. Thailand is not famous for its breakfast but again this was one of the best breakfasts we encounteted during our travelling.
Overall I would recommend this hotel absolutely, we were only in Phuket for a day and half so my only regret is that we didn't get to use this hotel as much as we could of.

In terms of this hotel, the negatives most definitely outweigh the positives. We stayed in multiple places during our trip to Thailand and chose to spend 2 nights here at Panwaburi. This was a little treat for us at the end of our trip as it cost significantly more than the other hotels we’d stayed at. However, we were so disappointed with it when we arrived that we actually only stayed for 1 night, booked another hotel and did an early checkout. The room was spacious and clean and the pool is also well maintained and very picturesque! The kayaks were fun to go in and take some great photos for our Thailand album! Those are unfortunately the only good points. The food in the restaurant was not nice and we struggled to finish our Chicken Sandwiches. Some of the staff were rude (although the gentlemen who helped us with our suitcases were very lovely and helpful). The location is terrible; there is nothing around and the few tiny food places that are within a 15 min (very steep hill) walk are disappointing. The area is very remote with nothing around but a beach. Super disappointing!

I can define my experience in this hotel in two words, pathetic and disappointing. The USP of this hotel is its pool and kayak but apart from that everything ranges between bad to horrible. I could say the view of the room was bad but the the service provided was even worse. We booked the hotel for 2 nights, and at the time of check in we requested for a room with a pool view however the requested was absolutely waived off, as if they were not even taken into consideration even though we were willing to pay an additional sum. Apparently the rooms were booked during our stay, however on checking booking.com we saw availability for the second day with a pool, so we contacted them again and they simply told us to send an email to reservations, and in the next five those rooms showed unavailable, maybe due to dummy bookings made on their end. Either way, the staff don’t really smile are far from approachable and flexible. The food was decent, cleaning mediocre and location absolutely horrible. Will never make the mistake of booking here again.
