Lovely hotel and truly delightful staff, who we thank with all our hearts. Negatives are that much of the hotel is, and probably has been, empty for some time with no major catering events so the availability of food at the restaurant at night is severely limited. We also found low hot water temperature and pressure in our room, which didn't bother us but would concern other travellers. Also no free shuttles to town etc. and the location is not serviced by footpaths so if you want to get around, you need transport.

On the plus side, wonderful people, great pool and gym, and availability through the desk of reasonably priced taxis

Was here for 5 nights, the roons are beautiful and great decor with nice big shower and very comfortable bed. The pool and bar areas are also really nice and relaxing

Breakfast is really good with a good selection of both western and Thai dishes.

The service was very friendly throughout. Also had good WiFi. About 5/10 mins to king power mall, or 15 mins to central phuket.

Only thing go be improved is 2 of the days the room was not made up so had to chase up fresh towels which I guess was an error as this hotel is pretty new

Response from RamadaPlazaChaoFah, General Manager at Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Chao Fah Phuket

That's a lot of amazingly good points here, thank you ever so much! Yes, very new but still we should be on top of our service by now. What happens often is that the 'Do Not Disturb' switch stays on all day, then nobody enters the room. Happens time and time again, however there is someone on hand 24/7 to correct that if needed. I am sorry you still had to ''chase''; that is NOT what you are here for. Now if I may add, we are also less than 30 min from any beach, we are THAT central. Also 30 to 45 min away from the airport, and just around the corner from the action in lovely Phuket Old Town. So yes, you were at the right place! Thank you again. We all hope you made it home ok and maybe, maybe, we will see you again soon. Eddy & #TeamChaoFah

Impeccable rooms, every detail is cared about. View from the rooms is good but unspectacular, best rooms are in upper floors with "mountain view", which is actually bus parking view. Restaurant is an exeptional experience on its own. Personnel is a mix with some extremely professional and kind figures and some others more normal, they rotate so you have a perfect concierge service only at peak hours of the day. The rest is anyway ok. The top pool is very nice

This place, although seemingly of good quality is soulless, you could be anywhere. The receptionists weren't helpful. We weren't confident when we arrived, there were 2 receptionists dealing with complaints from other guests. We arrived at 10pm and there was nothing to eat or drink despite it advertising 24hr room service. We were just pointed to a fridge that had some overpriced cans in.
The photographs are very cleverly taken.
I booked a mountain view room, well..there was a mountain in the far distance but the view was the car park and a building site.
The roof swimming pool was dirty and not relaxing seeing the prevailing noise was from the surrounding building works. Also they only played 3 songs on a repeat loop all day.Awful.
The hotel was miles from town and anywhere of interest so had to pay for their shuttle bus anytime you wanted to go anywhere. The meals in the restaurant were expensive and not great. We'd been there 3 days before we walked around a corner and found a locals restaurant, locals eat here so that is a recommendation in itself. The food was authentic and delicious, so if you have to stay here, turn left out of the car park and left again...eat there, authentic food and remind yourself you're in Thailand because being a big chain hotel you feel you could be in the USA.

Walked into the room and 1 of the water bottles was half empty. I come into the room later that night and open up a face towel which has a yellow stain.

Informed reception informed to wait till next day for resolution. All the hotel offered was 300 baht back in restaurant credit. Asked for the 300 to be refunded to me instead at the very least by principle but they said they can’t do the whole 300 as a refund. (Only £7 offered back but it’s about principle) Asked for complimentary upgrade but informed the room class above was fully booked however it is available to be booked online for the remainder of my stay.

This hotel is horrible - dirty loud and an absolute Scam.
I can not recommend to stay here, 300 baht for a breakfast that is not even worth 30 baht and the Shuttle is never available.
The staff can not speak english at all and is very impolite.
The location is not good, there is nothing around, if you wanna enjoy Phuket, stay in Karon or Patong this is so much better.

The hotel is clean, services are fairly decent. The breakfast is largely local flavors and has zero options for vegetarian visitors. Also, the hotel is far from every tourist attraction. So if you have to take taxis to go to attractions, you would pay through the nose, considerable expense of time and money both. Phuket as such has pretty steep prices for everything.
Relatively closer to old town, chillva market etc.
There is not much near the hotel, well, pretty much nothing. Whatever you have closeby, doesnot have walkable pavements so you have to either risk it or take cabs.

I recently had the opportunity to enjoy the Chinese fare at my local eatery and it was truly scrumptious! The servings were generous and the flavors were truly tantalizing. The dishes were cooked to perfection with the perfect blend of herbs and spices. The service staff were friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was laid back and inviting. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a delectable Chinese meal.

We (10) stayed two nights at Ramada Plaza Chao Fah during our golf trip in mid March 2020. The room was spacious and nice. The staff were friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was delicious. The hotel was newly opened for two years. The views at the top and swimming pool floor are beautiful.

A very badly situated hotel, right on very busy highway, constant road noise, no sound proofing.
You will meed taxi to go out, 90% loud and noisy Chinese bus tours, breakfast exceptionally busy with tour groups, nothing to eat as staff can't cope with volume of these guys.
You hear noisy air con from other rooms, room wasn't properly cleaned.
Staff very nice but no peace from loud noise.

I never asked for taxi to hotel, I arranged by myself. Fare pricing should be around 1000 baht, using Line or Grab could be around 750 baht. "Phuket Airport Bus" is available for 100 baht and brings you to stadium area nearby hotel. Bus to Phuket town is available at very low price. For fares and timing to nearby areas you can check Grab app. The hotel does offer transfers, both shared and private. You may contact them directly for fares. Hope my reply was of some use, Andrea

Hello, Thanks for contacting us on this platform. About 30 min drive, we are on the so-called 'short cut to Patong' from Phuket town and the south. You also have alternative beaches at equal distance and maybe just as nice or nicer (Nai Harn is one of them). For an airport pick-up, allow 900 THB for a car / 1,000 THB for a minivan (per journey). This can be charged to your room account if more practical. It is a mere 45 min drive, depending on traffic. Another other questions, please do call again. Any time. We hope to see you soon in lovely Phuket town! Eddy & #TeamChaoFah

Is the hotel under construction? Are the pool and restaurants open?
Phuket Town, Thailand27 contributions
Dear Jim, Good morning from Phuket! We opened on 31st December 2018 and are in near-full operations now. Our pool is opened daily and our both restaurants are too (Phoenix Lounge opened last week). Can I assist you with a booking or shall I call you to organise a little party maybe? We have many places and ideas for that here ... Looking forward to either talking to you soon or meeting you on site. Khop khun krap Eddy
