We arrived at Wormald House after day one of walking across the Hadrian's Wall Path. David and John were the perfect hosts: friendly, helpful and eager to share their local knowledge and stories. The room was very comfortable and David's breakfast and packed lunch set us up fully for the next day of walking to Humshaugh. Writing this after having...

This is a great place to stay when visiting the village of Wylam. The owners are very friendly and helpful with a wealth of local knowledge. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfasts are delicious. There are several traditional pubs within easy walking distance. This is a convenient base for walking, cycling and exploring this interesting area of Northumberland.

Spent another couple of days being looked after by David and John at Wormauld House. Amazingly friendly atmosphere, fantastic breakfast ... a home from home. This time took a friend with us, Darek who was made equally welcome. Thanks for taking care of us all, again. We'll be back.

Recently stayed at Wormald House for the Great North Run. Lovely welcome from David, couldn't have been more helpful. Nice little touches like providing fresh milk for tea in our rooms each day, and made us porridge for breakfast before the run even though it wasn't on the menu. Was more like staying with friends, made such a nice change...

The hosts are very warm and gracious, and the house is very nice as well. Wylam is a very pretty town on the Tyne--don't miss getting some great ales at the Boathouse--and this house is in a great location. Breakfast was excellent.

We stayed here one night on our walking trip along Hadrian's Wall, and it was one of our favourite b&b s of the trip. David was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed; he brought up fresh milk in a mini thermos for our tea tray, and booked us a table for dinner at a nearby pub,...

John and David Craven, father and son, offer a lovely accommodation just a few miles from Hadrians wall and a 5 minute walk from the Wylam rail station. David and John served up a sumptuous breakfast catering to every need and concern and the pack lunch was delicious....the sandwiches served us superbly while walking the wall. This was the beginning...

I stayed here for 1 night, out of 7 in total, whilst walking the Hadrian's Wall path. This was my favourite stay of the week because of the wonderful hospitality shown to me by John & David. The welcome and advice from David was great and he was right about the excellent pizzeria next door. Breakfast was really well cooked...
