Maya Maya at Mandoon Estate is frequently lauded for its professional service, although some guests have noted occasional inconsistencies. Nestled among lush vineyards, the hotel's location is a hit for its scenic charm and proximity to local attractions, particularly for stunning New Year's festivities. While guests adore the comfortable and modern rooms with picturesque nature views, some have mentioned that the rooms can be noisy and occasionally show signs of water damage. The amenities, including the dining options, are generally well-received, but there's a desire for more inclusive offerings such as complimentary breakfast. Despite the hotel's clean and inviting atmosphere, some guests feel that the cost of their stay doesn't fully match the value, pointing to the high room rates and extra meal expenses.

The accomodation is very clean and comfortable, it is thoughtful to have windows and doors onto the veranda allowing a breeze to flow though the room. Very comfortable king size bed. there is extensive grounds to walk and plenty of large shady trees to sit under and enjoy the light entertainment on Saturday afternoon.
My complaint is in regards to the food, the sauces with the steaks we ordered were far too salty, inedible, although the steaks were cooked to perfection. I ordered an avocado almond apple salad to enjoy with my steak it came with bitter cabbage, 4 thin slices of apple, 1 tea spoon of avocado dressed with a too salty dressing also inedible. The breakfast curry also had a far too salty sauce. A shame the food was a disappointment as every thing else was 5 stars.

Hi There Daydream816225 Thanks so much for choosing to stay with us recently. I was disappointed myself to learn that you felt that our food offerings were less than satisfactory with regards to certain condiments, seasoning and pricing - we will be sure to pass on your direct feedback to our Executive Chef for further consideration. Water pressure could do with an increase.
Double glazing needs to be installed to cut down on aircraft noise.
Room was as expected - clean and comfortable - airconditioning had been switched on prior to our arrival - a nice touch.
This is probably our 6th visit overall - we will return.

We chose to stay at Maya Maya as part of our Wedding weekend, and it was a fabulous choice given our reception was in the Surveyors Rooms at the Estate.
The rooms very lovely, very clean and modern. We stayed in the Executive Suite which was lovely for the night before and our wedding night, the bed was divine!

There was some confusion with our friends and family wrt late check outs and getting told differing times for late check-out. Confused our guests and Maya Maya were a little rigid in allowing some and not others late check out, also did not let some guests know of a $50 late check-out fee.

I ordered some gourmet hampers for the morning of the wedding for my bridesmaids and I to eat while we were getting ready for the wedding. When I called to ask when the platters would be delivered they told me 11am, which was very late. We asked for them earlier but only received them later in the morning and unfortunately wasted a lot of the platters (which were quite expensive). Moving forward it would be good to advise of timing of delivery of these platters beforehand to ensure they arrive with sufficient time to be consumed.

Our sincere apologies for some of the confused communications during your stay with us, management and staff certainly do not intentionally mean to miss-lead guests prior to arrival. We will be sure to review internal procedures ourselves to prevent further disappointment in future. We thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. The check-in time of 3 PM was inconvenient, and the cost of the stay was high for just a bed. At over $400 per night, it felt overpriced, especially given that breakfast was not included. Considering the steep rate, I expected more value, but the experience didn’t match the price tag. The overall service and amenities didn’t justify the cost, and I found it to be overrated for what was offered. For the amount charged, I had hoped for a better overall stay, including complimentary breakfast, or at least a more reasonable price for the basic accommodations.

The room was nice apart from the visible water damage coming through the wall from the shower, damaging the skirting in the main room. Additional items requested were well received.
The customer service when checking in however was extremely poor. The lady was quite condescending and rude.
Long story short, I was asked to check into a room to help the Groom get ready for his wedding, which the Bride and Groom booked and had spent a fortune on at this venue. When trying to check in on his behalf, the reception lady was quite short and unwelcoming demanding a bond I had no idea about. Calling the groom to find out what to do, thinking there was some confusion, I was interrupted, spoken over and told she was not confused. The other receptionist stepped in realising it was part of the Bridal package and linked the rooms.
Leaving my ID a reception was then greeted with more attitude when returning to collect with an audible sigh of disbelief from said lady.
Honestly I did not know what I had done to upset this person but I reconsidered asking to book a room with my family in the future.

The only flaw in the stay was the buffet breakfast, it was very cold and quite inedible and expensive for what was available. Absolutely to die for rooms. We had the best sleep and it was nice and quiet where they are situated. We had my eldest sons wedding there and it was flawless from start to finish. Thankyou so much to all of the staff at Mandoon and Maya Maya, and a special shout out to the laundry staff who came to the room at 930 (at the very start of their shift to do our room first) as requested so as my son and his bridal party could get ready with the old man. Thanks again it was delightful.

After a road trip to Kalbarri and return via the great coastal towns, we chose Maya Maya at Maldoon Estate as a bit of a spoil.
What a great choice! Set just off Reid Hwy is it within a short drive of all the attractions the Swan Valley offers (which are limitless).
The accommodation and brewery etc are obviously newly built and look amazing.
The rooms are separate from the main building, set beautifully between the vines and the Swan River, with secure parking. We were in a first floor room, which was comfortable and very well equipped, although not overly big. Comfy beds were the big plus - an excellent nights sleep after 6 hours driving!
We had dinner at the Homestead brewery ( there is fine dining at the Swan Restaurant) and our meals were great - prompt and friendly service made for a lovely evening. The huge deck overlooking the vineyard would be tops on a warm summer night.
We returned for breakfast and again we were impressed.
Overall a very affordable and pleasant stay - thoroughly recommend Maya Maya at Maldoon Estate.

From check in to check out our stay was perfect. The rooms were clean, modern and having movies available on demand was lovely while enjoying the very comfortable and spacious bed.

We dined at Wld Swan which was a flavoursome delight. Breakfast and lunch overlooking the vineyard at Harvest made it feel like we had escaped the city yet it was only 20 minutes from home. With a few cases of wine in our boot and a wonderful escape we thoroughly recommend The Colony. (Although the name makes it sound less inviting :-) )
Thank you.

Nice clean comfortable room. easy access. Welcoming reception and winery is beautiful. We booked lunch at the Fine dining restaurant and were disappointed it was closed without no prior notice, and were redirected to the The Swan restaurant next door to it but was nothing special. Not a fan of having to order from online menus when you are sitting at a table with waiting staff. Very impersonal. Whilst I love beautiful food I opted for fish and chips as I was hungry and going out for a long day! Very disappointing. Chips and salad were perfect but fish in batter was a blobby serving of soggy batter with very little very dry fish. A very poor substitute for what we had hoped for.

Hi PerthSurfdog1 Thank you for sharing. We read with disappointment ourselves, that your dining experience at Homestead Brewery was less than satisfactory - such shortcomings are certainly not typical of our superior home style and award-winning service delivery. We sincerely hope that you might have the opportunity to return to the Swan Valley, and dine with us again. Kind regards Bram Newbold Head of Operations Maya Maya at Mandoon Estate

An awesome get away, close to the city but far from the madding crowds. This venue is perfectly located in the heart of the Swan Valley and gave us access to all the local facilities, whilst the room was more than adequate. Pillows were fantastic and the airconditioning took the edge off the cold winter air ensuring an amazing nights sleep. I even managed a walk down past the river in the morning as the son rose, so all in all a great getaway.
