Detailed Reviews
GUOWEI W wrote a review Sept 2024

We had a fantastic stay at the Lotte Hotel Hanoi from 6 to 9 September 2024. We were fortunate to have booked a Club Suite, which proved invaluable during Typhoon Yagi. With the weather limiting our ability to head out and no delivery service available, the delicious and high-quality food during afternoon tea and dinner was a true lifesaver. Breakfast was also exceptional, offering a wide range of delectable options. Despite being a Korean hotel with its outstanding Korean cuisine, it also serves excellent international fare, including Chinese (Tim Ho Wan and another Chinese restaurant) and Vietnamese food served at breakfast and at the club lounge. A notable perk of the Club Lounge was the inclusion of alcohol during dinner.

The staff’s service was impeccable—both personable and professional, contributing significantly to our positive experience. A big shout out to Ms Linh Nguyễn who (correctly) advised us to avoid certain areas due to typhoon damage and gave us good recommendations for food and coffee.

Although the indoor pool is on the smaller side, it was extremely clean and fully functional. The sauna and gym facilities were equally impressive, well-maintained, and a highlight of our stay. One minor area for improvement would be the shower cubicles—cleaning the walls more thoroughly and replacing the wooden stools with plastic ones would enhance the overall experience.

The views from the room, club lounge, and restaurants were breathtaking, offering panoramic vistas of Hanoi. Despite the storm, we felt well cared for and never found ourselves bored. The adjoining mall provided additional entertainment, adding to the convenience.

Our room was extremely clean and comfortable, featuring a generous walk-in wardrobe. Wi-Fi was consistently moderate to strong throughout the stay, and both check-in and check-out were seamless.

While its location is slightly distant from the Old Quarter and other tourist hotspots, transport is affordable, and the high quality of the stay more than compensates for this minor inconvenience.

Overall, the hotel’s modern and sleek design, combined with its reasonable pricing, makes it a top choice. We will definitely return.

This Trips with family parents was a great time thanks to the Lodge Hotel Hanoi.
We spent some time at the Lodge Hotel Hanoi to celebrate the anniversary of our marriage and our couple's wedding anniversary. Dinner buffet booked as a reservation for dinner and the facilities in the hotel were excellent.

All staff within the hotel are focused on every customer and are interested in what services they need. In particular, there is a Korean governor who checked every one of the details that he had provided before the check-in and gave all the services that he could do at the Lodge Hotel for the anniversary. The accommodation was also assigned to a high floor with good views, and the additional information asked was also arranged in a glance and made beautiful with documents. Once again, thank you to the Governor.

The location of the hotel is the Old Town and the street is a bit difficult to visit often, but there are Lothemart and Lothemort (shops) in the hotel building, so it's really good to buy gifts for your last Trips to Hanoi. Of course, there is more expensive water than the market in the city, but at least things that are tied to the amount of reconnaissance are affordable and can be purchased reasonably. Also, you don't have to carry heavy loads far, so it's great to buy heavy jelly or coffee beans.

The facilities at the hotel were clean and stylish.
My bed linen was soaked and well-arranged. Basic toiletries are equipped for disposable use and are equipped with shampoo, bodywear, treatments and body lotions. It's a brand that's unprecedented in Korea, but it feels good and sophisticated. (GROWN ALCHEMIST)

Another good thing is that you can use the facilities within the hotel after check-out. Typically, the flights to Korea go late at night or at dawn, and if you're on a flight, you'll have to wear sweat-smelling clothes, but after check-out you can leave your luggage at the hotel, play in the city, go back to the hotel in the evening, take a shower in the sauna, change your clothes, and go straight to the airport.

When entering the room for the first time, the bride will never forget the beautiful face of her parents. If you visit Hanoi again, I would like to put Lottehotel on the schedule. Once again, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Lottehotel Hanoi for giving us the best experience and time.

This hotel has a beautiful view, the facilities are extremely modern and comfortable, I am on the 57th floor with a full view of West Lake and the city at night. Needless to say, breakfast is very delicious. In particular, the staff on the Club floor are really cute and very professional, making me feel right at home. Thank you Oanh, Mai, Anh and Linh for taking care of me enthusiastically and thoughtfully.
You guys made this trip more meaningful and memorable for me!

The hotel is located starting at the 38th floor of one of the tallest buildings in Hanoi at 65+ floors. Rooms have great views across the city. Breakfast buffet was included with our king room, served on the 63rd floor, also with great views.
Our room on the 44th floor (and hotel) seemed fairly new, tastefully decorated, with large bath that had both tub and large shower. The toilet was Japanese high-tech: warm seat, computer-controlled sprays, etc. We also had a nice desk, which some rooms lack.
The breakfast buffet caters to Western, Japanese, Chinese, and Vietnamese tastes, including eggs made to order, Pho, and innumerable fruit, vegetable, meat, seafood, bread, etc. choices.
The location was good, fairly central, but a 15 minute ($4 US) taxi ride to Old Town. Our room listed at $270, but Viking paid it. I know other hotels, perhaps only 4-star, can give better bang for buck.
We didn’t eat any meals other than breakfast, so I can’t review other dining. Neither did we visit any of the bar areas. I did notice wine tasting rooms on the 63 floor, with interesting, mostly French whites and reds.

Great Value for money for an international chain hotel in Hanoi

Room 5/5 Spacious room with great amenities, comfortable bed, good size closet

F&B 4/5 Great breakfast range as you would expected from a 5 star hotel with Korean breakfast range

Location 5/5 easy to transport via Taxi / Grab

Sound proof 3/5 even though the room has sound proof, you will be able to hear the music & vibration from 65fl till about 2pm, guess room are located on 40ish to 60+~ floors, my room was located on the 55 fl. So bring your ear plug if u r a light sleeper like me.

At 7.30am you would wake up from the car horn from 55 floor below, so u won't missed your breakfast

We stayed in Club Junior Suite Room - panoramic view, 56th floor, on a clear day the view is amazing, the Suite standard is high, the Club level inclusions are higher than advertised on their website, afternoon tea starts at 11.30am until 5.00pm, and offers, Vietnamese rolls, pastries and cakes, and a wide selection of savoury and sweet nibbles, soft drinks and beer is also available during this time. From 6.00pm - 9.00pm cocktails, wine, sparkling, and spirits are available, and buffet is served, wide selection of hot and cold Vietnamese savoury dishes, amazing cakes and pastries, you need to purchase the drinks inclusions, however well worth the extra cost. The customer service we experienced from the Club Team, was exceptional, and a credit to Hotel.

Our stay at the Lotte Hanoi Hotel was perfect from check-in to check-out. Although not located within the Old City of Hanoi (about 10 minute of car drive from the Hoan Kiem Lake), this modern hotel is located at the top of the expensive Lotte Department Store and there is also a large supermarket (Lotte Mart) in the underground of the complex. The Vincom Center Mall is located accross the street if you need to do some less expensive shopping. The personel is beyond polite and respectful, with a strong korean hospitality diffused among the Vietnamese staff. The rooms are modern and spacious. The breakfast room is at the top of the tower with magnificent view of the city of Hanoi. The breakfast buffet was large and diverse with 3 main specialities: Korean, Vietnamese and Western. Of note, there is also the first and only Tim Ho Wan dim sum restaurant in Vietnam which is inside the hotel tower. I highly recommend this hotel for repeat visitors in Hanoi who need to have to quiet and good rest after a long day in the bustling (and noisy) Old City.

Our group celebrated our birthday on Top of Hanoi. The restaurant has two sides, one side with West Lake view and the other with city view, but our group chose the city view side because there are recliners. And at night, the light down here looks very beautiful. We ordered both wine and cocktails. Mr. Son took care of my table very thoughtfully, set up the table very carefully, and even helped me order a singer to sing happy birthday. Many thanks for Top of Hanoi.

This is in many ways an excellent hotel. Tremendous staff. Great breakfast. Superb facilities. There are however a few issues in the gym / sauna / hot tub area that need attention at management level. (1) provide cleaning materials / sprays etc in the gym so that users can wipe equipment down after use - we have learned a lot in recent years about viruses and these things are worth attention. (2) it is not sensible (or great in terms of health, safety and the welfare of small children) to allow toddlers in the sauna and hot tub area - it is not playground nor a paddling pool. Hotels generally have age restrictions - why not in Lotte hotels? (3) ok ., there’s building work going on but be careful with exposed wiring (see photo) in an area where there’s a lot of water. Not a good mix.
