After a business trip to Jakarta I wanted to make some days free in a very typical and familiar BB and I found this place on booking.com
The best what could happen to me.
Dani, his mom and all the people here are friendly and I really feel at home.
He offers some very good tours.
Dani's mother prepares a very good breakfast with fruits, toast, juice,....... what ever you want and need. Also her indonesian food is great.
I love that cosy place and should I come back to Indonesia I will stay a couple of days the Alam Citra B&B in Jogja again!!

If you are planning to go to Jogja, you must come here. Period. Just be careful: you will probably change your mind about the number of days and you will want to add some. Dan, the director, really knows how to make a customer feel good. He solved a few problems I had and gave me the chance to save a lot of money. You can't find anything better, be sure.

We read the reviews here before booking and were not disappointed. We initially booked for 2 nights but ended up staying another night since we were so comfy.

Our flight was delayed from Jakarta to yogya by 3.5 hours! But on arrival our driver Trey was waiting at the airport to pick us up! Fantastic.

As all other reviews state, the place is family run and the whole family here were so friendly and welcoming. Danny took great care of us during our stay, gave us all the best info about getting out and about and was very friendly. Mama cooked the best local and international food which was very well priced and so delicious.

We booked the Borobudur sunrise trip with Danny which was 250,000 IDR (approx €16pp) and Trey was our driver taking us up to the temple and up in the mountains for some stunning views of mount Merapi. We even had a nice packed breakfast prepared for our 3:30am start. Great service.

The rooms are comfy and clean and we were given the one with the bathroom outside. it was still private and part of the room and we quite enjoyed taking a shower out in the warm weather and the sound of the relaxing waterfall whilst you sit on the loo and masked the sound of what you had for dinner!

Free wifi throughout, nice warm shower, AC, tv in room with a few amenities. A fridge where you grab beers and drinks which Danny will add to your room at the end of your stay.

Malioboro street was approx 15 minutes away and we also hired a scooter from Danny for 50,000IDR (approx €3.50) for the day and drove to Parangtritis beach for the day which was about 45 minute drive. Nice beach and a beautiful sunset.

All in all a great stay and we definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay whilst passing through yogya.

Many thanks to trey, Danny and family for being so hospitable during our journey!

We initially planned 3 nights here and we has the bedroom with the private outdoor bathroom which was cool. Dani and his mother are very helpful and we really enjoyed out stay here! Lovely breakfast and they were very good to cater to our dietary needs! We ate lunch and dinner here also and the food was very nice! Also they are very helpful and will drop off/pick up at airport and wherever else you want to do for half price of taxi fare. They have free bike hire which we used and scooter hire which is cheap and good too. We ended up having to spend a 4th night here due to our flight being cancelled last minute and Dani drove out to the airport to pick us up and take us back which we really appreciated!! They really helped us out last minute when we were very stressed. Thank you all so much we really enjoyed our stay! Would definitely return to this B&B if we come back to Yogyakarta.

The guesthouse is small but really nice and cozy. We felt like part of the family. We had to catch an early train and they didn't hesitate to take us to the train station and even give us a takeaway breakfast for the train without even asking them, I mean that's something you don't see very often.
Great stay, great people. The house is just a bit outside the city center but we were actually glad because the center a bit overcrowded, crazy and loud. We rented a motorbike also and went to the near by beach. They have everything you need. Thanks for making our stay very nice.

When looking at the map of Jogya, we always fell into the reflections of the beautiful memory living in Dany's house. The beautiful residential area, (the fish pool, the tropical plants, the java furnitures, the decorative lamps), easy to access with a direct street to the downtown area. The authentic flavor cuisine made by Dany's mother. Dany's hospitality in showing us around (the famous malioboro street with local markets, Ali's civet coffee workshop with leather handicrafts and java oil painting, the silver factory with exquisite necklaces and bracelets, the bakit factory with silk-felt scarfs and other cloth, and the unforgetable experience to global hot tourism spot Prambannan sunset and Borobudur sunrise, Kraton's area in Sultan palace and water palace, the local birds and other pets market, and the unconquerable Mr. Bromo...) Although the our stay was just in a hurry, for help from Dany and his driver Tri/Three, these several days are so well-planned and local-stylish. Now we have finished our trip in Indonesia, and time for the review. And my family will back to Jogja, the special city again for sure.

The hospitality here is first class and Dani and his mum are very welcoming, as are the staff that work there. The room is serviced every day and you have a supply of tea and coffee in your room with a hot water dispenser in the little kitchen which you can use. Dani's mum is the sweetest person, always offering drinks, and there is an extensive menu for you to choose from if you would like to order some freshly cooked food. Wifi was excellent. Air con good. They offer a range of trips, but these are for a minimum of 2, so not ideal for a solo traveller. The location was away from the town with nothing around so you had to get a lift/taxi everywhere, but Dani's mum was always willing to take me anywhere I wanted to go and she waited for me a lot of the time too. She even got up at 3am to ensure I was up and ready for my trip to the sunrise tour of Borobudor. Lovely, lovely people. There were bottles of water in the room every day, and they couldn't do enough to ensure you were comfortable and happy. The only downside for me personally was not being able to access so many trips or activities during my 6 day stay there and being a little too far away from town. The bathroom was very basic, but overall this was really good value for money.
