Ada waktu homestay,
We wanted to spend the first days of the trip with our family without any worries, Ari and Willy certainly succeeded in that. Communication went perfectly so that the driver greeted us by name at the entrance hall of the airport. Ari prepared some special food so that we did not have to sleep on an empty stomach. The room was nicely furnished with a good bathroom and an extra bed so that we could sleep 4.
A beautiful swimming pool in a maintained garden, good food with a local twist and not so far from the center makes this a perfect location to start our trip, we will definitely come back.

We spend 5 great days in vila ada Waktu thanks to the owners Arie and Willy. They've build a beatifull little palace just out of yogya (transport is easy by taxi, minivan, scooter and bicycle). Arie and Willy will make you feel at home from the minute you pass their door. They will help you getting the best out of your visit to Yogya and its major sights. They can bring you anywhere with their own car and driver and can tell you a lot of stories about local culture and sights. But don't forget to spend some time in the villa. Arie is a terrific cook. Just tell him what you like and he will exceed your expectations. It's also a great place to visit with children. We stayed there with our three children (1, 11, 13). Of course they loved the pool and were very happy with the food and drinks. But most importantly they felt quite at ease with Arie and Willy. Villa Adu Waktu is one of the best places we've ever been to. We can recommend this place to anyone who likes a quiet stay, good food and a personal touch.

Me and my family needed a break and I booked a nice room in Ada Waktu. They took efforts picking us up by car and bring as to this quite place just outside Yogyakarta. Between the ricefields and sugarcane is this villa with swimming pool. Run by a Belgium couple over several years. It's quite and a relaxing place with trees and flowers. A swimming pool with loungers. A big living room and more important a big kitchen. We enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner for 3x and it was all home cooked delicious food. A big dinning table made it all complete. We also had a birthday to celebrate and they cooked a special meal (nasi kuning) and bought cake. In the morning when we woke up we had baloons hanging in front of the room.
All together we had a great time with the owners and the staff, plus we got the rest we were looking for. The mosque is not to loud (read: far away) and the shops for basic groceris are close by. I recommend this place for couples and for families who are looking for something different as a commercial hotel.

At a glance :
False photos on website
Rooms - dark & manky smelling
Beds 😳😳😳😰….. hard as a rock !
No mattress protectors on them
Front reception around light fittings, so grotty. Disgusting !
The place is in dire need of a “freshen” up
It’s tired. Had zero atmosphere.
Willy was very helpful & understanding of our concerns.
Arie was no where to be seen when we left to :
Find the stunning - Jogya Senang Boutique Villa.

Hello Mrs. It is a total disappointment that you write about a place, where you didn't stay one night, where you didn't pay one night. How can you judge about our homestay? You didn't have any time to enjoy our pleasant and well- known atmosphere. Because you left after a while, after enjoying a drink and lunch, specially prepared for you. Your sister spent some time in our nice overflow pool, she didn't complain at all. The photos on the website :(which one? At the moment, we don't have any website) many guests even say that our place looks better in real than on the photos...And almost everybody calls it a little hidden paradise! Is this false? And indeed, some rooms got a different paint colour, or furniture changed place.. If the rooms looks not 100% bright, this is because we use little darker window glass, to protect your privacy, and to keep it cool inside. Also our tropical trees take away some sun... Without tropical plants, no tropical garden... We offered you mattress protectors, but they were not your standard...You wanted Australian ones... We provide first class quality mattresses for our guests, which they appreciate. You needed indeed a special mattress for your back pains after surgery, but we can not provide specialized beds. There is nothing wrong with the cosy front reception. Only, the walls are painted white, so you can see directly some dirt, which is cleaned regularly (as all the rest, with thanks to our staff) We will continue to do all what is possible, to make our guests happy in our "stunning" place!

We have stayed at Ada Waktu with the family and it was a very nice stay. The owners were very friendly and took care of everything we needed (Dinners, Trips, Bikes etc.) They only have 4 or 5 rooms and we stayed in a large family room with 4 beds.

We went to see the Borobordur and the Prambanan with our own driver.

Ada Waktu is about 20 min. drive from Yogyakarta.

Absolutely fantastic B&B! I have traveled a lot in the past and I can honestly say this is one of the best places I have ever stayed in. The staff is super friendly. The large and very clean swimming pool is surrounded by a wonderful garden. Our bedroom for two was really spacious and had an on suite (very clean) bathroom. The meals -which are prepared by the owner- are amazing as everything is prepared with fresh and local produce! Highly recommended!! High value for money!

We are a family of 5 from Cairns, Australia - Mum, Dad and 3 daughters aged 12, 9 and 9. Our main purpose in visiting Yogyakarta was to visit Borobudur, as it's one of those bucket-list monuments that makes you in awe of mankind's achievements. So, with that in mind and as we were on a three week holiday with multiple stops around Asia, we wanted a comfortable and reasonably-priced accommodation that could fit us all in that was within a hour or so of Borobudur, that could also organise the day trip. We emailed Arie and his team quite a few times to secure the room and ask questions about Borobudur and possible tours. The great email communication we received was a good indication that Arie would be a great host and so it proved to be!
We got picked up at the airport (we flew from Bali) by Mas Putra and taken the short 1/2 hour drive to Ada Waktu, which is on the outskirts of the city, but amongst fields of rice, corn and sugar cane. We were immediately impressed by the size of the house - it's an absolute mansion! We were greeting by Arie and Willy with glasses of beautiful local fruit juices, walked past the impressive swimming pool and were greeting with our enormous room. There was a large king-sized bed for Mum and Dad and three single beds for the kids. There was still enough space in the room to swing several tigers around - with high ceilings and also an entry 'foyer' with a couple of couches, as well as our own private small patio space in front of the swimming pool. We had a large private bathroom with shower and toilet.
You can have breakfast, lunch and dinner at Ada Waktu if you want, and we would highly recommend it. We soon discovered that Arie is a chef, so everyone morning and evening we felt like we were staying at the best five-star hotel in town - the food was incredible and never-ending. In fact I must have put on a few kilograms in the few days I stayed here, the food was that good!
Arie is also a singer and entertained us and a Malaysian family the first night we were there, which was quite magical listening to Indonesian songs and dancing, although our daughters were too shy to join in.
Arie and team organised our day trip to Borobudur and Prambanan in a modern 7 seater car, and also a morning trip into Yogyakarta. The driver, Mas Putra, is excellent with very good English.
All in all, we had a fantastic time at Ada Waktu and would highly recommend it to everyone. We were very suprised to find out we were only the 7th Australians to visit the property. We were amazed by this considering how many visit Bali which is only an hour's flight away.

Hello TQ, I am sorry to reply so late, because the mail was lost in my spam. The price is depending on the age of your infant. You can see the price if you go to Flipkey, which is a part of Tripadvisor.to give you an idea: it will be like €99 for 6 guests. We have our own car & driver. Price is depending on the trip. Pick up from airport is 90 thousand rupiah, a trip to Prambanan is 450 thousand, to Borobudur is 525 thousand...always per car. If you want more info, please write me. Arie

Hello M, As the airport of Semarang is at the north side of Java, and our stay at the south side, it is too far for a pick up. We do only pick up from the airport of Yogyakarta. There are buses in between Semarang and Yogyakarta. But more easy would have been a flight till Yogyakarta Adisicipto Airport.. Which dates do you intend to come to Yogyakarta? Best regards, Arie
