I have stayed here just for one night after my flight to Jogjakarta and before moving to the countryside of Java. This Hotel is really nice and has really everything you need. Clean bathroom, Spacious and nice decorated rooms, great swimming pool and nice breakfast and above all the Host is really great!
It is rather far from the city center but if you ask the host to bring you there, he will do it with pleasure.

We spent five nights at this hotel on the final leg of our trip round Indonesia. My first impression was, 'where are we?' It seems to be a million miles away from the bustling, crowded centre of Jogyakarta in what feels like a semi-rural suburb. But once we got our bearings, we realised it is actually pretty well located, on a quiet road parallel to a main route into the city which leads directly to the Prawirotaman Rd area 10 minutes away by cab, the best area for bars and restaurants in the city, and only about 20 minutes from Malioboro, the main shopping street. As an added bonus, the very friendly staff will give you free rides anywhere you like into the city, meaning you only have to get a cab or a becak back. It has got quite an elegant feel to it, with plush wooden flooring and ornate but understated decor in the shared areas, and a lovely garden surrounding the pool where you have breakfast. The breakfast itself was a bit hit and miss - most days there were eggs on offer with a simple buffet of fruit and pastries, although on one morning when there was a larger group of Indonesian business men there, they put on a big spread of lovely Indonesian cooked food - this would have been great every day! The rooms were comfortable and clean, with enormous beds and a huge spacious bathroom. All in all, after initially wondering if we had made a mistake staying too far out of the city, we had a lovely stay here in a place that provides the ideal peaceful antidote to the heat and traffic of Yogya.

We stayed here for 1 week recently and absolutely loved it. It was about 15-20 mins drive to Malioboro but we loved how quiet, peaceful and lovely these place is. The courtyard was really lovely though the pool even though looks very inviting but it was actually quite deep. The gardens, oh how we love the gardens...the sounds of birds, the sights of butterflies and dragonflies, the calls of frogs...us city people loved it! The sound of call of prayer nearby everyday were also very soothing which was such a pleasant surprise for us. The locals were very friendly and welcoming. We had a great time chatting with some of the vendors in that area.

Pak Joko who is the Supervisor and his team were very helpful and accommodating. He even suggests places and things to do and such without being pushy. Despite us being exhausted on the first day, he still offered to drive us around, out to the city. From 9am to 3pm, Pak Joko were able to send us to Malioboro with prior notice. We got the suite villa (Rama) and it was spacious and really clean. However, we had a drain blockage and had to be changed to another suite (Shinta) which was just as spacious and clean. The breakfast were amazing!! Everyday it was something different. Fried rice with chicken, soto and satay, nasi gudeg etc...and it was really delicious. They also have some massage packages and the one that I tried was so-so but it could be because of my pure exhaustion from trekking at Setumbu Hill and Borobudur.

With all the good things mentioned...there are few things that could be improved about the villa. Such as the pillows in the room. It wasn't as comfortable as the bed making us struggle to fall asleep unless we were really exhausted from walking around and sightseeing. The toilet doors in the adjacent room could do with a proper lock for privacy. We had to inform our male friend whenever we were going to use the toilet which caused a bit of inconvenience.

We survived a little earthquake while we were there and Pak Joko was quick to inform us and analyzing the situation. All in all, we were truly very happy with our stay in nDalem Bantul and this place is truly a hidden gem. We'll be sure to come back and this time, hopefully, with our families and other friends.

Thank you for the great service and warm welcome!

we stayed in this hotel for two weeks. The friendly staff and personnel made us feel very welcome in this hotel. The rooms are big, very clean and the airco is good and doesn't makes annoying background sounds. The breakfast is in my opinion complete enough, you can choose either toast with eggs or fried rice. The hotel is outside the city of Yogjakarta in a calm neighborhood called Bantul. The city centre can be reached within 15-20 minutes and the beachside (Parangtritis) is only 25 minutes away. If we go back to Yogjakarta I would certainly book this hotel again. (price / quality is very good).

Basically this is a very nice budget hotel with Javanese style but it seriously need some works to make it better. Our room was spacious (and old) but the shower room was dirty and old, definitely it needs an update. House keeping cleaned the room everyday but he left the space behind the television and the power socket station very dirty like no one takes care of for years. Our room is in the front side and it's pretty noisy. The traffic from the street was loud and also from the parking area of the hotel. Not recommended, better ask for room in the back yard.

This hotel has many guest with small children but although the swimming pool is nice, unfortunately no children pool or separation area for children. The deck chairs in the pool need to be renewed. No one likes to lay down on dirty sun beds.

First days we were there, there were variation of breakfast but on the last days not much choice, only bread and one kind of local food. I think it depends on how many guests stay on the hotel.

After all, the staffs were incredible nice and helpful. Thank you so much for all your kindness!

A beautiful hotel about 10-15 minutes from the center of yogy. The hotel is artfuly decorated with a nice pool and outdoor seating for breakfast. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff went above and beyond to help us, whether with free taxi rides, booking tours or helping with laundry. We got massages too which were lovely. Definitely would go back!

"- The hotel have two areas which is located just across from one another. I believe one is called nDalem Bantul Resort and the one that we stayed is nDalem Bantul Resort and Spa. The rooms facing the pool are really lovely. - Rama room have a rather small adjacent room. Whereas in Shinta room, the smaller room is much bigger. The water heater is rather weak so if you're fussy about it, Rama will be better for you."
