I chose this hotel because it was the cheapest one which was acceptable to my female companion. The room was large, modern and clean however the location left something to be desired. Finding beer for example was a challenge however the staff were willing to help locate some for a thirsty traveler. The restaurant/cafe in the lobby was closed at the time of my visit however when ordering room service they managed to rustle up a more than adequate meal. The staff were friendly and helpful, and turned a blind eye to the blood soaked sheets.

when I booked a room in this small hotel last week (august 2016) I paid 700000 IDR for two nights with AC, nice bed, hot shower and breakfast. amenities were so minimalist (towels and soap and shampoo only). location is near main road and 500 m away from Jwalk (mall nearby) and trans jogja bus shelter. Jwalk has nothing beside crepe, cinema and optic seis though.
Hotel's employees are helpful but the breakfast was not tasty. well, since along the way you will find many small stall that sells food and restaurant from morning till night, this won't be a problem. no swimming pool and wifi speed was poor.

This was hands down the WORST hotel stay I have ever experienced in my entire life. I am from Malaysia and a group of us stayed at the hotel for our short company trip.

I shall summarize my points below for everyone to read and understand with ease. I would not want anyone to go through the same torture I did.

1) The Deception of The Pictures : The room was neat, yes, but the toilet was disgusting. The bathroom looked as if it had not been washed or cleaned properly. There were red mosses along the edges of the bathroom walls that were completely repulsive. There was no ventilation and there seemed to be a problem with the sewerage system as after flushing the toilet, the stench of the urine remained for quite some time and permeated throughout the room. The sheets were black and the blanket had stains on them. The A/C was not cold enough except in the early hours of the morning.

Well, that was not the worst. Continue reading.

2) The Noise : We had the misfortune of checking in at the same time as a huge group of high school students, a consortium of 3 huge buses to be exact. Naturally, a crowd of that size would make noise. But when complained to the management, they failed to do anything about it. The layout of the hotel was that of a hostel, with thin walls too. Therefore you could almost hear everything that a person did outside of the room.

These people made unbearable noise until 2 am in the morning! Screaming and yelling at the top of their lungs and running along the corridor, pounding on each other's doors while screaming and calling out names! Yet the management did not do a single thing!!

I was appalled, and still am. I am not sure whether it was because the hotel was a budget one, or because we were Malaysians and that they could not be bothered, but it was just downright ridiculous.

The second night we were there, we complained for the first time, politely of course. And the receptionist told us that she would let the security know. When the commotion started again that night, we called again. And she told us that she would let the teachers know. The noise did not die down. After almost an hour, we called again just before 11, our calls were never picked up. We made about 30 calls after that, but no one answered. Don't tell me the reception there ceases to take calls after 10 at night? The noise went on until 2 am, and I barely got any sleep before that.

There were a few good things about the hotel; it was strategic, the interior looked presentable, and the personnel were not rude (but they were not necessarily warm and fuzzy too). The rates were okay too.

But seriously guys, having your most basic right (of having a good night's sleep after a long and tiring day) taken away and ignored completely was criminal and absolutely disrespectful.

That will be the only time my company and I will ever stay at the hotel again.
