Max is the owner of this resort. We are divers and do not believe in live aboard dive boats. Max is totally dedicated to Papua. He is devoted to the people and the reefs. Any negative comments do not reflect on him or his genuine care. I am originally from Montana so I equated this to a "hunting trip." For...

I went here with my family of four back in 2014, and let me just say that it was one of the highlights of my entire 2 month diving trip. The staff, the diving, the area, the reef, the water...just gorgeous. I don't know how much fun it would be if I didn't dive as that is the main attraction,...

I initially looked at Papua Diving not realizing there are two resorts on the same island. You can't really walk to the other resort other than swimming or taking a boat ride. Anyways, I initially wanted to book Kri but ended up doing Sorido because they were out of rooms in Kri. It was a little more expensive but it...

We visited this little resort during March 2016 and had an amazing 7 days. Diving in Raja Ampat is something special and can not be described with words, it's too overwhelming. The resort itself is small (8 bungalows only ??) and is fully catered for scuba diving. Bungalows are luxurious, especially taking into account that everything (even fresh drinking water)...

My husband and I went to Raja Ampat solely for diving and chose Sorido Bay Resort because of its famous house reef. We stayed for seven nights and enjoyed every minute of it. The resort was beautiful and the staff was super helpful and friendly. Most importantly, the diving blew us away. We stayed at Sentani Cottage 4, which was...

We spent 10 wonderful days at Sorido Bay Resort. It was everything we hopped it would be. All the staff were courteous, the food excellent (they are open to suggestions- hamburgers were made for the first time- they were a great hit) the grounds and cottages are exceptionally clean and well serviced, the weather was awesome and best of all...

This was our second visit to this small resort located among numerous, exceptional scuba diving sites. The founder was among the first to discover the now famous, local dive sites, and our very knowledgeable dive guide, Otto, was exceptional. Indeed, we shared the week with a famous underwater photographer, Larry Tackett, whose late wife, Denise, discovered the Hippocampus denise pygmy...

My stay at Sorido Bay was magnificent. As you can read on several websites the diving in Raja Ampat is truly world class; the amount and different types of fish is amazing as is the amount and quality of the corral. What makes Sordid Bay the place in Raja Ampat is foremost the people. The awesome diving guides and boat...

Sorido Bay Resort is on remote Kri Island, a two hour boat ride from Sorong. The facilities are excellent and the staff is very welcoming. The rooms are well appointed with A/C and amenities, and located right next to the water with views to the bay. The WiFi was spotty at times, but the resort is working to improve it....
