Really enjoyed the afternoon tea today, such a nice selection of cakes and scones and received amazing service with a smile from the lovely blonde server Steph. Took my friend for a late birthday treat and they made us feel very special. I'll definitely be coming back!

Four ladies celebrating a long awaited Christmas event. We were so well looked after by Luke who waited on us and made the event even more special. The food and atmosphere were certainly up to standard. Thoroughly recommended.

We stayed at this hotel for one night as we were purchased a voucher as a gift. We could not understand how it could possibly be a 4* rated hotel. The hotel itself is dire. Very tired, dated, dingy and in need of refurbishment. We checked into the room we were assigned and there was barely room to swing a cat. So cramped and dark. I went to the reception to query whether this was the correct room given that the voucher said classic room on it, and it looked nothing like the photo on booking.com for this room type. The bed was very uncomfortable, artwork and furniture very outdated, dark carpets, and the room was just generally not somewhere we wanted to spend time. We were given a different room which was slightly more spacious but still not great. We also had afternoon tea and breakfast as part of our stay. The afternoon tea was pretty sun par - the sandwiches dry and tasteless, the cakes weren’t really to our taste either. We waited half an hour to be served. Staggering that they can charge £30 a head for that. The only upside was the breakfast which was decent enough and staff were helpful.

My daughter had her wedding reception in the Great Hall at Fanhams Hall Hotel at the end of July 2021. Before the event Lauren was really helpful and always available to answer any questions. All our guests keep saying how smoothly the wedding went which was largely due to our function manager, Olly, who was exceptional. The venue and grounds are beautiful and the photos look marvellous. The chef, Paul, came up with very good menu tweaks to deal with all our various food allergies and the food on the day was fantastic. Olly managed seamless delivery of any special dietary options and special drinks to the right people which was very impressive and was appreciated by all concerned. The staff without exception were friendly and helpful to both ourselves and our various suppliers throughout. Our daughter had a marvellous day, thank you to everyone at Fanhams!
