I stayed here a year ago. The circumstances has gone bad. The trucks passing by during the night is OK, but the bar across the road seems to have got louder than a year ago. Then there were drunks who made a raucous till pass 3 am. I hardly had two winks till pass 4:30am. Unless you are a super...

The location is okay as it is within walking distance of the Park and the lodge has friendly staff and a nice view off the back. However, if you would like to get some sleep before an early assult on the mountain or just would like to get some sleep period, You better bring earplugs. The trucks that use the...

We spent the night here before climbing Mt. Kinabalu. It has very relaxing view, the dormitory room was basic but clean. Free WiFi and breakfast are included. If you're not geared up properly for the climb, they sell cheap jackets, gloves and headlamps. The staff are friendly and helpful. They let us store some of our things in their storage...

We had a great time staying there! Our room was fine, the food was good and you have an amazing view from the terrace. The family who runs the place is very friendly and helpful and we even could leave our luggage there while we climbed up Mt. Kinabalu (the lodge is very close to the park entrance, so after...

A great lodge that is very close to the Mt Kinabalu headquarters (and the start of all the tracks). We stayed in a double room with private bathroom, it was clean and had hot water. The staff was very helpful. There is free wifi in the dining area. The view from the rooms and restaurant is breathtaking, it makes for...

Stayed here over the night before the treacherous hike. Very near to Kota Kinabalu Park, just a walking distance. The view is fantastic on this side! Imagine you're having a breakfast with the view of mountain ridges, sunrise and trees. The room is very basic though. It is dusty, outdated and needs to be refurbished. Toilet doesn't have a flush....

The "Villa" was quite the experience. After arriving we were shown the dorm beds. The mattresses are so thin you will be a trained Tibetan monk with regards on sleeping on the rockhard bottom of your rocking chair bunk bed. The walls are made of paper thin cardboard material so setting an alarm clock in the morning is no prerequisite,...

Fantastic location if you want to explore Kinabalu Park or a night stopover before you ascend the majestic Mount Kinabalu. Only 5 minutes walk to the main entrance of Kinabalu Park from this lodge. Basic facilities with limited hot water for shower. Toilet was really old and looked tired and tiles looked like they have never been scrub for centuries....
