Hi lorettacottis, I'll leave the recommendation of how long to stay for other travelers but I can answer that you can book the accommodation as soon as you like, even if you're booking so far in advance. We would ask for a deposit to secure the booking but you're free to pay the balance only much later, closer towards your travel date. A pair of our leach socks costs RM 25 in our gift shop at SRL. You most likely won't be really needing them here though, unless you're planning on heading to Danum Valley or Maliau Basin for some serious trekking thereafter. Happy travels and we can't wait to welcome you to our little bit of earthly paradise. Tim

Hi Good2b, much apologies for the bug if its true. It could be because we don't list our room availabilities on Tripadvisor but that will change soon. The best way to book for the moment is to either send us an email thru our sukau website or our borneoecotours website. They'll both reach us the same. You can view our availabilities live on these 2 websites. Hope that helps. Tim

Hi Trekker, our entire lodge including all rooms, facilities and connecting boardwalk are built elevated on stilts so there will be no problem with leeches at Sukau Rainforest Lodge. If you're connecting onwards to Borneo Rainforest Lodge (Danum Valley), Kawag or Tabin, I'd certainly recommend getting them. We do sell leech socks at our gift shop in SRL as well in case you might need some but you won't need any at our place. Safe Travels! Tim

We stayed here for 3 nights. We did two early morning boat trips and one late afternoon boat ride. Unfortunately we were not lucky enough to see the Pygmy elephants but other boats out at the same time did see them - the boats don’t tend to stick together so everyone sees different things. I guess it’s all a bit of luck as to which animals will be out and about when you are. We did see orangutans, crocodiles, proboscis monkeys, hornbills and several other monkey breeds. We felt we really got value for money - regardless of the fact that we did not see the elephants. On our second afternoon we visited the large bat cave - interesting experience. Again we were lucky and saw more orangutan. I don’t feel it would be necessary to book any other tours while you are at this resort.

You do not need adapters for your devices as our lodge uses the same UK-type three-square-pin plug with electricity supply 230/240 volts at 50/60 hertz
