Just arrived home after 18 nights here. It was very quite but very safe and as beautiful as ever. They take COVID 19 vey seriously and adequate measures are in place. We have been here over 40 times and it really is beautiful. A big shout to Raffael and Jennifer on reception and to the two lifeguards who were constantly sanitising the sun-beds and ensuring guests had their masks on. Any issues were dealt with quickly.
As someone else has commented it can be noisy at peak months (we went in July) with big Spanish family groups spread across more than one cabin. Four cabins face one another so if you're unlucky enough to get a noisy family in that group it's not so quiet. The parking was also very full at this time, although we always (just) managed to find a place. Everything else here is very good, helpful staff. Highly recommended in a quieter season.
CORONAVIRUS. What can you say. We hope all are safe and well. It's been an unfortunate week for all concerned. We flew to Gran Canaria and the Sandy Golf bungalows last week for our annual visit. We were there only one day before the local government put everything into lockdown. For six days we were only allowed out to the supermarket. The pool and bar had to be closed and we were confined to the bungalow. This was our 40th wedding anniversary and not what we were expecting. Not being allowed out for meals to the sea etc, was very disappointing. BUT... We cannot give enough praise to all concerned at Sandy Golf. From reception, cleaners, gardeners, maintenance all of whom carried on in a very professional manner, tears from the cleaning ladies. They still made us feel like guests under very difficult circumstances. Many , I believe, fearing for their jobs and future. We were one of the last couples to leave on Friday, the remaining few to be moved to Green Golf as Sandy Golf was closing for the forseable future. Our thoughts are with everyone at this sad time and send all our best wishes to you all. We will be back. Such a beautiful place which anyone who has visited, I'm sure will agree.…
We spent two weeks here after a week at Monte Anfi. The first couple of days I was a bit unsettled as it is only 2 star and I had got used to the luxury of Anfi. However I soon got back to really enjoying the peaceful garden and bungalow. We met people again from last year. The good thing is that we walked quite a bit and got more exercise on this holiday. Sandy Golf always has a lovely relaxed feel to it.
Due to sandstorm in Gran Canaria we were sent here for 1 night before we were able to fly home. Lovely wee accommodation. Would definitely book to come here for actual holiday. Two TV's that actually work. Clean everything inside and out. Cat lovers paradise. No washing machine but you can always improvise on holidays. Own front terrace equipped with sunbeds and table and chairs. Massive pool area. It's rated 1* but it's definitely more like 3*. Staff very efficient and polite. Shopping centre and restaurants are only a 10 minute walk.
