Recently had a 10 night stay for our family of 7, we had a newly refurbed 1 bed villa and an old-fashioned 2 bed villa. The 1 bed villa was bigger than the 2 bed! If you are a family of 4-5 you will easily fit in the cheaper 1 bed, this was modern and lovely! The 2 bed was very old-fashioned you could not swing a cat in the kitchen area as the stairs cover most of the cooking area, i defo wouldnt book an old fashioned villa again. During our stay one half of the complex was closed as the workmen are updating the villas so maybe in time they will all be modern & spacious. There is a little park for the little ones, and usually they would have some childrens entertainment but due to covid it was closed and very quiet onsite due to UK travel restrictions. Rooms were cleaned every other day. Spanish guests like to use this hotel at weekends, there seemed to be a bit of a party atmosphere on 1 of our weekends. I would stay again but only in a modern villa. My kids loved the pool!…
We are currently relaxing by the pool at Cordial Green Golf enjoying a holiday we had anticipated would be cancelled due to the current pandemic. We have been visiting the island of Gran Canaria for nearly 30 years and for the last 10 we have stayed at Green Golf. It is a friendly quiet complex with beautiful gardens, views of the amazing golf course and only a short ride to the beach and Maspalomas or into Playa del Ingles for night life and shopping. This year, and I fear for a while longer, COVID-19 has placed restrictions on Gran Canaria along with the rest of the world. However I am happy to report that the team at Green Golf have set up clear guidelines to ensure the safety of staff and visitors by following strict social distancing measure, mask wearing, sanitation etc. There is still a 24hour reception desk in operation and should the worst happen and you think you may be ill there is a clear guide to what to do. It is obvious that a lot of people have chosen to cancel or postpone their holiday to the island and everywhere is quiet and many bars and restaurants have shut down, hopefully to reopen when restrictions lift. I also have to say that the journey to the island also felt very safe. Stansted airport was strangely quiet and the progress from check in to boarding followed all distancing advice. The scheduled flight which would normally be full was probably only a third of capacity which allowed people to stick within their “social bubbles”. On arrival at Las Palmas baggage reclaim and exiting the airport was very quick. I can understand if people are apprehensive about visiting the island but from our experience we have felt safer here than visiting some places back home in the UK. Cordial Green Golf is currently having a major refurbishment of its accommodation and I feel certain we will be booking our next trip very soon. Thank you Green Golf for another wonderful holiday.…
We chose this location based on Jet2 information for our first visit to Gran Canaria. It fulfilled the purpose with easy bus transport further along the south coast e.g. Porto Mogan and up the east coast to Las Palmas. Our (two storey!) bungalow was maintained, with living room/kitchen area downstairs and ensuite bedroom above, overlooking (through trees and chain-link fence the golf course. The bungalow was cleaned every day except Sunday with frequent changes of linen/towels etc, even sunbathing towels provided. The reception staff were very helpful and answered all our questions re. local facilities/buses etc competently and fixed a day's car hire with zero fuss. The mini-market kept a good range of basic items including fresh bread every morning. Public buses to Las Palmas and other destinations stop about 200 metres away outside the Golf Club. Local restaurants include the Rustico (top tapas) about 5 minutes walk and the Broncemar (at the Faro 2 Centre (10 minutes - don't be put off by the sad, deserted state of the Centre - it also has a Hiper Dino Supermarket pharmacy and other bars and eateries). Only criticism concerns the restaurant; we ate there on our first night and were not impressed by my "Cordon Bleu" (average) or by my wife's unrecognisable lasagne ( little/no meat, no sauce, mainly odd fluffy pasta); my sauce arrived halfway through the meal and there was no house wine except in mini-bottles. We didn't go back!.…
After visiting the Hotel Mogan Playa, we decided to give a chance to this Bungalows and we were not dissapointed! Same cordiallity and attention from the staff and lovely complex, colorful and peaceful. We still prefer the Hotel, but we cannot fault anything about our stay at Cordial Green Golf. Recommended!
We stayed for a week with our 10 month old daughter. The room was well appointed and immaculately clean. We did have visits from a couple of cockroaches during the week but they were easily dealt with and by no means a problem. The rooms were tidied and bins emptied daily, with change of bedding and towels twice during our stay. We were facing the pool which meant it was nice and quiet at night but we didn’t get any sun on our terrace or balcony during the day. The pool and surrounding area was fantastic. It was really well maintained throughout the day. Plenty of sun loungers although limited shade options on busy days. Kids pool was small but as it was fairly quiet that wasn’t a problem for us. The 2 main pools were huge and the heated one very welcome earlier in the day! We had the buffet meal on our arrival evening which was expensive but very good with lots of options. We also ate lunch from the bar menu once which was also very good. It was a pain that food was not available all day, from memory breakfast stopped at 10 and then lunch was from 12:30. With a young child who tends to want lunch earlier than that it meant I had to cook or we had to go out. Not a huge amount very close by (although there is an excellent Lebanese restaurant in close proximity), it’s a nice walk down to the lighthouse (took us 30mins with a buggy) where there are plenty of restaurants and bars. It was about the same time to walk in to Playa des Ingles too but we weren’t so keen on it there (not quite as baby friendly). The on-site shop had all the basics needed but there are plenty of shops nearby and a Lidl only 7mins drive away. We took a day trip to Anfi del Mar beach which which was lovely and would highly recommend. Playa de las Melonares beach was also lovely, quieter than Maspalomas beach and a bit more accessible with the buggy. …
