In the 60's, here it appears and opens, that would become "The first beach hotel in the Algarve". At the seafront planted, it served as inspiration, named after the great discoverer, who five centuries ago discovered the sea route to India, thus being baptized on August 1, 1960 of "Hotel Vasco da Gama" applied in a metaphorical way, because this would be the first to be born in this region. Summer Holiday

Had never visited this part of the Algarve before. Hotel was excellent and breakfast 5 star. Rooms cleaned daily and clean towels every day. Swimming pool very peaceful with plenty of sunbeds available. Location was very good with direct access to the beach and within easy reach of bars and restaurants. Hotel staff very helpful would definitely stay here again.…

Good hotel

Very nice hotel, staff very friendly and helpful Nice big room with good view of the sea No loud music playing around the pool Pool very nice, easy access by steps at the shallow end. Plenty of beds around the pool. Pool bar has good food selection.

Amazing hotel

This is our last day of a 10 day stay. What a great hotel, with such outstanding character. Staff so friendly and helpful. Hotel and grounds kept immaculate. Hotel is right on the beach. Beautiful walks along the water's edge for miles. There is a river cruise that we booked through the Jet2 rep. Great day out with food and with food and wine included. Well worth the money. The best place we have eaten was the blue parrot, beautiful home made food and great staff. I will definitely come back here again. Thank you to all the staff for looking after us so well…

perfect winter break

Stayed in January, very lucky with the weather, chilly but quite sunny.Warm enough to sit outside and sunbathe in the afternoon. Once again booked a sea view room (410), lovely room with great sea view. The boardwalk is up and running,every pleasant walk along the beach(about a Kilometer). Breakfast as ever great, buffet dinner OK..Staff are some of the nicest people I,ve met on my hotel stays. Rooms and hotel dated but spotless.…

excellent again

Been to this first class hotel for the past 4 years staff are all happy to help at any time we were b&b the breakfast is excellent and all you could wish for the rooms are being updated all the time but clean towels changed daily as is maid service to find fault with this hotel you must be ultra fussy.we will be returning next year all being well and look forward to it.we have been all over the world in our travels and this is a little gem,You get what you pay for and this is definitely worth what you pay.Thanks to all at vasco…
