Wonderful hotel. Amazing service! Would definitely recommend to others who want to have a relaxing and lovely get away. Didn't use pools but they looked very inviting. The gardens were also fun to walk through and the hikes we took around the property were also gorgeous.

Six Senses deserves its praises. It is a refuge in the Douro Valley for those who want a high-end spa/wine/foodie experience. My only regret was allowing only one night in this imaginative oasis. My favorites: -The entrance on the top of the hill on the 8th floor hides its amazing secrets underneath -The wine bar / library on the 3rd...

Would only rather have the hot tub as when it was Aqua Pura. The previous chef was, in my opinion, way better than this. Though it is still very good. The previous menu and cooking was incredible: local/national flavors with classy twists and not overpriced and perfect staff training. Nowadays, I still like it but would rather suggest a different...

Had a wonderful stay again at the Six Senses. The hotel facilities are still exceptional and the advantage of staying there off season is that you have the hotel facilities almost to yourself. There were some other guests, more local than international, and both the spa and indoor pool were perfect ways of relaxing. The food was still very good,...

A very nice introduction to our experience with Sex Senses. We really had a very nice time at this resort in every way. The service was excellent, the resort/room beautiful, the complimentary yoga sessions sublime, the setting stunning, and the meals excellent. Pls send our love to Aqua too and we certainly miss her!

This is a fantastic hotel inside vineyard. the kind of hotel that make the trip unike. One of the best breakfast, and a perfect restaurant. The rooms are fantastics, big, with a great view of the douro river and a perfect balcony that make you feel like home. The hotel design, although the XVI construction, is modern and in harmony...

This was a much-needed break and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. All the superlatives used in previous reviews are correct and well-deserved. The location is amazing, the hotel itself is beautiful, calm and very well run indeed. The food, particularly the breakfast buffet, is superb. The spa is incredible and the therapists are the best we have...

great if you want to drink alcohol. Excellent spa. Less great if you're a vegetarian in main restaurant. Food messed about with bits of unnecessary foam. health and wellness philosophy not carried over into the food selection. Best to go when weather improves as out door swimming pool and area not open when we visited.

For the myriad of reasons described in previous reviews this really is a top quality hotel. Asides from the beauty of the place, and the complementary design, it is the warmth of the team that makes it special. You get the sense that they really care. The hotel grew and grew on us as we began to understand just how much...
