Our very pleasant stay in the hotel only had been compromised by the absence of the lift, which is still under reconstruction. We had to carry three heavy suitcases into the second floor without any assistance. Otherwise, the food (especially the breakfast), the room quality and friendliness of the staff had been exceptional. Landshut is a well preserved, medieval town...

Stayed here before and not disappointed. We thought we would spend new year here what a great choice. Great location freindly staff lovely rooms. Easy to visit other cities by train. There is also a great bus service. The castle is a stones throw away worth the steep walk to visit.

Very upscale, classy hotel, full amenities, nice quite rooms, unbelievable breakfast spread! Although this hotel seems to be part of an ancient midieval fortress, the rooms were very quiet. My room (309) had a nice view of the neighboring roof tops and church steeple nearby. I will definitely stay at this hotel the next time I'm in Landshut.

Very friendly family run hotel with excellent service and a great location. The hotel is one block away from the Altstadt with plenty of shopping and fun places to eat. We were also able to wander the fresh market that was set up on Saturday.

We liked staying at the Goldene Sonne. It is unmistakably German rather than 'international' cosmopolitan and predictable. Staff were good - pleasant, polite and helpful. Breakfast was a great buffet with a very wide range offerings to suit a wide range of tastes. Dinner was good and considerable. We had the cream of potato soup which, slightly to our surprise,...

The hotel is situated in the heart of Landshut, a short walk from the river Isar, the shops and the restaurants. The rooms are exceptionally clean, mini bar is free and the breakfast is excellent. However in the bathroom there was only a shower gel - no shampoo, no conditioner, no body cream etc. The bike rental is not free...

Very good location near all historical places of this city. Easy access to this place via public transport. Original building was built in 1520 but today it is good combination with traditional old German style and new technologies.
