Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We camped here in Oct. 2020.
This campground is so huge that it can meet every requirement of a camper, whether it's a Cape to Cape hiker, someone who's "glamping" or is driving a camper van. We enjoyed our three-night camp here in one-man and two-man tents.

Conto is an excellent bush campground, and I really mean bush! It’s just you in the bush and a long drop toilet and that’s it! We really loved the isolation. The days were spent driving up the sandy track just near the campground and exploring each little beach. The days just weren’t long enough! The only thing that got to me was having no shower. I asked around and the only/closest public beach shower is in Prevelly.

We stayed here for two nights over Christmas. Rangers were very helpful in allocating us a nice site (though I thought almost all the campertrailer/caravan sites in Quenda loop where we stayed were good.) All sites were large with Picnic tables and fire rings in the bush behind them. Most sites were well spaced apart, even many of the inside loop ones had privacy as the camp kitchen is in the middle surrounded by bush. Camp kitchen had sinks (w cold water) and clean BBQs. Drop toilets were large and cleaned daily, no smell, lots of toilet paper. There was even a sink to wash hands. Sunset sky from campsite was beautiful. Will definitely stay here again. Recommend going to the nearby Karridale pub for a meal. There's also a coffee van at Lake Cave which is about a 2min drive away.

Over 100 sites but they are separated into different areas, so it doesn't feel like a massive overcrowded campsite. Can still get your own relatively peaceful site. We camped for a couple of nights around NYE in the peak December-January season so all sites were taken. Stayed at Davies, which had pretty private tent sites surrounded by trees. Book online. A great part of the Cape to cape trail goes right by Contos. The main reason for writing this review was to upload a map of the campsite, I couldn't find a map on Google images or anywhere before staying here. That's my contribution to the interwebs for today.

Great little bush camping site with many individual sites tucked away in a pristine forest setting. No drinking water available but long drop toilets are provided and are very clean and tidy when people use them properly. Camp fires are possible out of restricted fire season.
A great walk down to contos for a surf or just to check out the sunset from the cliff top.
Try visiting outside of school holidays for a more relaxed trip...

Campground is really nice.
However school kids were camping there. So loud it was unbearable. Obviously encouraged by their teachers.
Why should we pay for something like that?
Absolutely rude. Not recommended.

My partner and I really enjoyed the spacious feeling of this campground. We did not feel that anyone was too close due to the spacing of the campgrounds and the natural vegetation.
We also thought the bathrooms were very clean and well maintained especially compared to other camps we have stayed out.
Overall, quality camping for a fair price

We had a very good time at the conto campground (chuditch part). There is enough space, it is green and a good athmosphere.
From there you can access the cape to cape track and it is also a good place to explore the beaches around (except for one beach you need a car) and the caves.

Conto Campground has many sites but you do not got the feeling that it is a big campsite. I stayed at Hamlin. There is lots of shade, every site has
it’s own picknicktable and campfire. The camp kitchen has a place to do your dishes and a very good place to grill your food.
