The palazzo is a magical place with centuries of history, beautiful furnishings and fantastic views, but it was the hosts, Elena and Pina, who made our visit truly special. Their warmth and genuine interest in our well-being and comfort made us feel immediately at home...More

At this moment the B&B is renovated, but we could stay there in a lovely room and had a very good breakfast there. The two sisters gave us a warm welcome and showed us the history of the house. Licusati is not a beautiful village,...More

I can't believe someone wrote that furniture is from "renaissance". That is cheap fake antique-style furniture from the beginning of the 20th century. Despite the nice surroundings with olive trees, woods, etc. the village is horrible- there is not even a single, I mean -...More

Hotel description
The Crocco Palace still retains the character of the severe noble houses which have characterized our small towns in the Cilento region, and been influential in the dynamics of our local economy. The gates in ashlar stonework are of particular interest (on one gate there is the family crest, and on the other is the date 1778), The gates' location are also of importance: one is off of Crocco and is at the main entrance, the other, of equal splendor, is inside the small, yet significant, central cloister. The rooms are followed, one after the other, with high ceilings featured by centuries-old intersecting wooden beams, which have now been restored. Beautiful, ornate doors lead to balconies with wrought-iron railing overlooking the verdant valley. Atop stone stairs we may admire a newsstand with "La Pieta" of the School of Salvator Rosa. The recently restored attic room stands for beauty of the space, punctuated by trusses and beams, and is crucial to the preservation of the many valuable elements of Il Palazzo Crocco. The attic space, full of charm, has been designed by the owners to host exhibitions related to the local culture, as well as a sanctuary for contemplation for people who want to stop and recover a deep sense of inner peace. The restored wooden staircase connects the main floor to the attic floor, demonstrating the formal elements, such as struts and thunderbolts, tracing a thread of continuity of the wood elements.
