CoCo Cottage had been built up on Koh Ngai since 2004 while there was no electricity, no water supply. Our first idea was we wanted to create a small, safe and clean place on this virgin island. And thing that can’t be forgotten! if we want to enjoy the place for a long time, we have to take care of it. So we decided to create an eco-chic resort where rustic and design is combined. We believe that when people escape from concrete forests of their everyday life and go to a remote island in Thailand. Nothing is better than living in a small coconut bungalow surrounded by nature. In the past decade, the hotel and tourism industry in Thailand had grown up rapidly. Fortunately, Koh Ngai is still an unspoiled island, probably because 70% of the area is a forest belonging to the national park. We don’t know the future. But we always challenge ourselves to keep balancing between Koh Ngai's environment and tourism industry. Let us be lucky!!

There's a reason I keep coming back to CoCo Cottage. Several reasons. Mostly the staff! After needing to cancel my trip over the new year, the team worked very hard to accommodate my requests to re-book dates despite the high season. I was thrilled to be able to spend eight nights here earlier this month... and I could have stayed longer. CoCo is an *easy* place to be. The pool (an addition since my first stay) is stunning and the perfect place to cool off. . The rooms are delightful - comfortable, clean, and the outdoor showers remain incredible. . The food is great, appealing to a wide variety of palates from all over the world. Breakfast features local pastries brought in from the mainland, different each day! The attention to detail, the library, the inner tubes and the perfectly placed seating during meals. . Everything is well-thought-out - the outdoor shower to rinse off seawater. The towels and sarongs in the room. The raised floors and basin for foot washing. . Opalm, Oran, Natalie, Paula... thank you everyone for making this trip so incredibly special. Miss you and can't wait to be back!

We didn't stay at Coco Cottages, but we did choose to eat at the restaurant there one night during our trip. I don't normally write reviews, but the experience was not good and I really felt I should write something. Our order was taken after a long wait. When it arrived, it was incomplete. 2 dishes were completely missing. We then had a further wait for the rest of the food. Unfortunately the rest of the family had already eaten before the other dishes finally arrived. The waiting staff did not clear the plates, despite me trying to get their attention. Again, after a long wait, one waiter started to clear the plates. He stopped mod way through and disappeared for sometime. I then saw he later serving another table. I got annoyed and started clearing the plates away myself. We wanted dessert but again the order was not correct when it arrived. Another long wait for the bill. Not the best experience for overly priced, average Thai food. Interestingly, during our meal we saw two other parties get up and leave as they were so apauled by the service.

You never disappoint us... 3rd time of staying and the first time 11 years ago.... But you seem to get better. We love the staff and service... Nothing is too much. This time we stayed for 7 nights and wondered whether it might be too long but it didn't seem enough. Keep up the great work coco!!!

Koh Ngai is lovely particularly when the tide is high. Our room was adequate but maybe a little overpriced, we had a deluxe garden cottage . Breakfast was average for the cost. Staff are helpful and pleasant. We enjoyed the beach at high tide and pool at low tide and it was great place to relax at the end of our Thai holiday

amazing place- probably the best on the island, it feels like a 4 star, though think listed as a 3. clean and really nicely presented accommodation to suit most higher budgets but worth it to stay here, baboo pipe out door or indoor showers, piping hot. I had seen in another review that the food was expensive and not so good- well they must have sacked the chef cos its really good - having eaten at 3 other places this was the best, though it is more expensive than other places here, the fact is this island - everywhere, is more pricey, in thai standards so add another 50% to prices on say koh lanta. reef out side the hotel is superb - amazing diversity of fish life and mainly hard corals that are pristine - can't say that for most of thailand. staff. here friendly but not in your face- there is no pressure to eat here if you are staying here. The. breakfast - included- was superb, same every day but cooked, conti and fruit options. All that they charged 50 but to use a snorkel especially when there was a whole tub of snorkels that visitors had left that they left with a sign saying help yourself isp charging seemed a pretty pointless exercise really, just to make an extra buck, the three water isn't chilled and there isn't a refrigerator in any of the rooms... but those are only minor (and a bit pointless) irritations because the place is very well run. if you get bored then it is worth a visit to paradise beach - nice beach bar halfway along past the only resort on that beach he is just getting started bcak after covid - give him some support

This is a premium-priced resort on a scenic unspoilt Thai island. The beach, the sea, the sounds of birds makes Koh Ngai a dream destination and CoCo Cottage has a lot going for it. The staff are kind, efficient and helpful. The food and the service are excellent and the resort prides itself on its ‘tropical island’ vibe. But for all that the resort is tired and in dire need of tender loving care. The cottages are in need of refurbishment and upgrading - beds and bedding have seen better days. The bathrooms need remodelling and the general maintenance is suffering from the effects of lack of attention to detail. A chair and small table in the cottages would be a great addition. The price of a stay at CoCo is high and the attention to these small details would reflect in the overall ambiance of the resort. Transfers to and from the resort were efficiently done. It would be a pity if the work of the staff was not reflected in investment in the property.

This was a true definition of a remote paradise for me during my island hopping shenanigans. I happened to be the only guest for a few days due to travel restrictions in the country at the time. What more could I ask for? If you are looking for a remote island, a quiet me time, and a beautiful place to stay with amazing food and amenities, I highly recommend this place. The resort is towards the end of a ~2-mile strech of a beach. I watched sunrise every morning while jogging along the beach. I truly enjoyed the beachfront villa with an outdoor shower and my little swing on the porch. Two outstanding amenities Coco Cottage had that no other island resorts had where I stayed were Wi-Fi speed as I was working remotely during my travels and hot water for shower all the time. I ended up staying 5 nights instead of 1 . I tried different Thai dishes everyday and did not disappoint. I highly recommend fried fish with different sauces and Massaman Gai. It was nice to be in the blue waters as there was no jellyfish during my entire stay at the resort. They have sun chairs by the restaurant, in front of the infinity pool, and a big swing - perfect for a great photo opp. Hats off to Natalie, Amy and Fang who were super sweet and very attentive. It made my stay even more memorable.

We stayed here for 3 nights in February. The cottage is overall nice and the breakfast and restaurant were great. But their practice of shutting down the air conditioner from 10 am to 4 pm was maddeningly annoying, especially given it's hot during this time. We would have been happy to pay extra to have air conditioning the whole day, but there was no such option. There are only a few covered lounge beds outside, which a few guests blocked the whole day. The owners never asked them to share the beds with other guests. The beach is rocky throughout the island and there were lots of jellyfish. The hotel people were very kind when I got stung by jellyfish, and gave me vinegar with herbs, which worked immediately. But swimming was impossible. Also, they kept giving us two plastic bottles a day - such a waste. Two refillable bottles would have been perfect.

This is a lovely secluded island that has several resorts and cottages on its east shores and one resort on its west side ( hope I got that right). The beach is great for walking and about 2 km long. There is a jungle walk that takes you across the island, which is interesting and lots of kayaking and snorkeling if you’re so inclined The island is very quiet. No real shops to speak of so bring everything you need. Co co cottages are clean and spacious and the resort offers good food and drinks at a reasonable price. There is a water bottle refill station that cost 15 baht per refill which is great. Don’t forget your insulated drinking bottles. Breakfast is included in the price and is both Thai and international. All in all a great place. Doesn’t get 5 stares because there are no WOW elements but seriously an absolutely wonderful place for a peaceful stress free vacation

Do you know that feeling? Sitting on a longtail boat in Thailand and when it approaches a resort you think: ‘please let that be mine’! Well, that’s CoCo Cottage for you in a nutshell. Situated on a beautiful stretch of sun kissed beach where the waters are impossibly bleu, CoCo Cottage offers a blissful stay on a (how is this still possible) remote and quite little island. If you are looking for a great couple of days away from it all in beautiful surroundings, CoCo Cottage is the way to GO!
