A difficult time for resorts everywhere due to covid. The location of this resort is perfect on the quiet island of Koh ngai. If you are looking for lots to do it is maybe not for you. If you are happy relaxing on the beach and snorkelling it’s perfect. The restaurant had limited options as were very few guests but the staff were fantastic. They were so helpful and friendly. The room was basic but clean - if it has a fridge it would have been helpful as had milk for our children. We would definitely come back - they sorted out transfer to the airport and every request we had when we were there. There is no shop or atm on the island so stock up on snacks and cash before you go. Such a beautiful island and wonderful people.

Don't go there : dirty and very rude management. Rooms are very dirty and smell very bad. Staff and management are also very rude with customers. We have never seen that before. We have been in many hotels in Thailand and this is the worth we probably had in terms of quality and service. We finally decided to move to another hotel during our stay. On the same beach you will find much better hotels (value for money and professionnal staff) Again my advice is don't go there if you want to enjoy this beautiful island without worrying.

Me and my girlfriend spend some days at this resort. Amazing place, really good food and a nice beach bar. All the staff was Very friendly and helped with everything. But the small colourful plastic windthings on the beach i think destroys the islandfeeling. Take those away and i give you 5/5

Can't say a lot about the place as we never stayed there, but other visitors told us blankets where dirty etc. Just one hint - Never book directly at that place. You will have to pay more when you arrive! We booked a fan room directly with the place and had a written confirmation. On day of arrival suddenly we received a message that they overbooked by mistake and would offer us the first night a deluxe room as an alternative. However on arrival they wanted for the deluxe room night 50%!!! more although it was their mistake. We showed the confirmation and told them we don't want to pay more but they preferred to leave the room empty instead of giving it to us for the agreed price. Order from the management in Bangkok! Finally we where forced to switch to a nearby place as we where not willing anymore to stay in this unfriendly environment.

Our stay at Kaimuk ended well after a start with some challenges. We ordered a room with a baby cod, which they didn’t even have at the resort. Kaimuk tried to solve it with a foldable bed, which isn’t a baby cod at all. When we told that it wasn’t what we have ordered, the manager/bartender was becoming rude and told us to find another place if we wanted to. We tried, but the lack of WiFi was a showstopper. After a long trip from Koh Yao Noi with two babies, we needed some place to nurse the kids, and we couldn’t use the rooms, before we paid the full price of the booking period. We decided to move ind and to get the best out of it after all. We ended up with 4 good days. But if you have a baby between 0-1,5 years, you should consider somewhere else. Pros: - One of best beach areas on the island. Placed in the middle of the island. - Kind employees with a lot of love for babies (like the rest of Thailand 🙂) - Cheep to stay at. Cons: - The employees had bad English skills, and communication became difficult. A European manager with a sense of quality could do the place well. - No possibilities for a baby cod. - The service was slow. We ordered boiled water for some baby food and it took over 15 minutes to bring it. This was probably also because the lack of English skills. - The Shower facilities wasn’t that good. Outdoor beach shower was even better then the room shower, and it was almost impossible to wash shampoo out of the hair with that water pressure. - The indoor fans was old, noisy, and worn down. They were much needed in a house made of stone without A/C, but only one of them were durable for use at night because of the noise. - Single beds were rock hard and you could feel every spring in the mattress. - Remember to ask for cleaning, new towels, and toilet paper. This isn’t daily service. - Only WiFi in The rooms close to the bar/restaurant. Sporadic. Conclusion: A disastrous start, that ended well with a good stay. Mostly for couples without kids, who enjoy the beach all day, everyday. 3-4 days are more then enough.

There's a wasteland right behind the last row of bungalows and they are burning plastics etc every day. The toxic smoke comes to the cabins. We have small kids and complained about this but the staff only got angy about the complaints. The food in the restaurant in terrible. Besides the toxic gases and uneatable food it's a nice place ;-)

Excellent place to stay for a relaxed holiday on a beautiful beach. Water is so clear. Excellent spot for snorkelling, right off the beach. You only need to swim some 25-30 meters off the beach to enjoy corals. The hotel provides a small kayak for 2 people as well. This allows you to watch coral reef from the boat. Don't forget to grab a few ripe bananas so you can feed the fish. Food is good for an island, just don't be too picky. This is a remote island. Language is also a bit tricky, but a little patience and it will all be fine )). You have a choice of restaurants on both sides. You can visit other hotels for dinner. Nighttime beach walk is nice too. You can spot crabs right there on the beach sand. The island was not crowded despite being high season in November.

Koh Ngai is beautiful and the resort is directly opposite where you arrive on the beach on the long tail boat after transferring from the speedboat ferry All the resorts and camping are spread along the one beach with jungle behind. The Kaimuk Thong resort is around half way along the beach. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. The room itself was clean and tidy. There were a few ants which we reported and they were quickly dealt with. The was no fridge or hot water and we found it best to take a shower late afternoon as the water was warmer as the pipes running over the ground were warmed by the sun, first thing in the morning it was more invigorating! We booked very late as it was a last minute decision having chatted to other travellers. I think we would have got a better deal booking earlier. I would recommend here if you are happy with less luxurious accommodation and got a good deal on the price

Kaimuk Thong is a bit like a surfer resort, but without the surfers. It is a quiet and relaxed atmosphere, not crowded and several different sunbeds, hammocks and sun loungers to choose from. Do not be fooled by the fact that the accommodation is not so established on the Internet and that they do not have so many reviews. They have only been around for a year and have recently completed their family room accommodating 4 people. The room was simple, quite and clean. It is generally difficult and expensive to have family rooms at Ko Hai. So was pleased when Kaimuk Thong reached out to me and announced that they just launched their very affordable family room. The location in the center of the beach has several advantages. Firstly, it is less crowded here as the largest hotels are located next to each other further afield. It also implies a very reasonable walking distance to various restaurants both to the northern and southern end of the beach. The beach is great with nice and good sand to build sand castle with. If the water is rough or windy, you can take an nice and engaging hike to Paradise beach, about 2 km away. The restaurant serves good thai food and quite ok western food. Several restaurants nearby make it easy to vary breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our best food experience where at Coco Cottage Resort. Transfer from Krabi Airport - we used Krabi Shuttle to Pak Meng Pier. The accommodation helped us with boat transfer so when we arrived at the pier, a Long tail boat (1500 BT) was waiting for us. The trip to Ko Hai takes about 45 min and went smoothly. I would strongly recommend Kaimuk Thong.

Speedboat 30mins from Koh mook to rock opposite the resort, then transfer by longtail boat approx 7 minutes. The resort is a small complex of approx 8 bungalows, at various distances from the gorgeous sandy beach. They have a beach bar area serving cocktails and drink with a fantastic bar man. We were Immediately shown to our room and left to get on with it. Room 805 has a sea view, and two windows that can open with fly screens so you get good airflow. Reasonably large room with ok-ish bed (a bit hard). Nice clean linens and soft large pillows. No top sheet, but they gave us another when requested. A curtain separates the main room from the bathroom. The toilet and shower are contained here, and there is cold water from the shower only. Takes a bit of getting used to, but actually quite refreshing after a hot day in the sun. The bathroom and toilet gets a bit wet from this set us, but quickly drains away. Small sink and tap in the main room. The fan in the room is of excellent quality. Small porch with chairs and table outside the room. Nothing really soft to lie on outside, but a couple of day beds and deckchairs. The whole resort is pretty peaceful, and the views, sunrise and moonlight are amazing. Very good snorkelling on the reef just a short swim off the beach. Food in the restaurant was very good quality, but there are a few other options a short walk away too if you want them. The alcoholic drinks are quite expensive. Massage area right next to the beach available. Overall the location was absolutely stunning, the staff fantastic and the room quite basic. Will forever have VERY fond memories of our three days spent here.
