Adorable cottage with beautiful wood furnishings and a generous breakfast hamper. We loved the log fire and a generous deck to watch the cows and wallabies wander around the property. The freshly baked bread dropped off in the morning was a delight and the hot chocolate at the shop was amazing. The hosts at the chocolate shop were so lovely to chat to as well. Thank you for the wonderful stay!
We stayed for 3 blissful nights of quiet in Lavender Cottage. Wonderful hospitality from our hosts - the fire was set ready to go; fresh baked bread was placed at the door before breakfast on our first morning. We loved their recommendation to visit Balancing Heart Vineyards for lunch! The bed was utterly comfortable, the views were gorgeous and we had everything we could want, including views from every window.
We absolutely loved our stay here. The kitchen was brilliant, stocked with everything you could need. The fresh milk and eggs were a pleasant surprise, as was the freshly baked bread brought over in the morning. The beds were comfortable and the shower was great. Such care and attention has gone into the place which it made it so welcoming and homely. It was very peaceful and the fireplace kept the cottage very warm. You could sit on the deck and watch kangaroos hopping around the fields and my husband also feed the cows. Best of all, no tv! You could really switch off and relax. Such a perfect escape from the world, and a visit to the onsite chocolate shop is a must! The nearby Girraween National Park is also a great spot to visit, as are the numerous wineries nearby. We are already planning our next stay.…
We needed to abandon our 9 month trip to Europe so were looking for options and a week in this self-contained, self-catered cottage just adjacent to Girraween National Park was ideal. We stayed seven nights in Lavender Cottage and it was excellent. We brought enough food for the week and Glenys provided us with fresh bread, eggs, jam and other breakfast supplies. We spent the days out in the Park on foot or the MTBs and had a great time with essentially zero human interaction. Certainly way less interaction than we would have had at home.
My son and I had an amazing couple of nights in Lavender Cottage. The cottage was fully stocked with everything we needed. The breakfast hamper was perfect. Waking up to a loaf of home cooked, warm bread delivered to our verandah was the icing on the cake. Thank you! Anthony even brought my son some hay to feed the cows & took him to help feed the chickens too. We also sampled the delights from the chocolate shop. Iced chocolate, iced coffee and even though it was 30 degrees the day we left, my son was not leaving without sampling one of the 21 flavours of hot chocolate. He declared it “AMAZING”. 😊. We will definitely be back ❤️
We stayed two nights at Rose Cottage and were very pleased. Glenys is a generous host supplying a very well equipped cabin as well as fresh bread and eggs. The cabins are just on the doorstep of Giraween National Park so an excellent base for bushwalking or quite resting by the internal fireplace. A delightful place to visit even in the midst of a challenging drought.
We had a lovely time staying in Lavender cottage for 3 nights. An unexpected highlight was the way Anthony included our kids (5 and 3yo) in looking after the animals: feeding the cows, tractor rides, putting the chickens to bed each night and collecting the eggs in the morning. This was both educational and enjoyable for the kids... and really nice for us to watch them. There's enough kid-friendly walks at Girraween to fill a few days... plus some longer/steeper ones that we can grow into in the years to come. We'll definitely be back. Thanks again Glenys and Anthony!
John and I spent 3 nights in the Daisy Cottage at Wisteria Cottages Wyberba. . the cottage is cosy with a comfy bed and great wood heater. Glenys and Anthony are perfect hosts..thought of everything..milk butter eggs and a beautiful breakfast basket and a freshly baked loaf of bread on the first morning.A barbque too!! Will definitely recommend this very peaceful place to friends and family. The chocolate is superb!!!
Great cottage with everything that you could possibly need for a weekend escape. Breakfast hamper complete with fresh milk, eggs, and home-made bread a surprising extra. Very welcoming hosts. Secluded and private Really enjoyed our time here and will come again.
We had been tramping for most of the day - I promised my partner we’d drop in as a reward. We had a wonderful old fashioned cold sarsaparilla. But then there was the chocolate . So much care, attention and love put into these scrumptious delights.
