We have just come back from a week's holiday at the Dom Pedro Marina Vilamoura and we have had an amazing time. The hotel itself was very clean and tidy and the staff were very attentive at all times of the day and night. We received an upgrade on our room to a suite which was very kind of the hotel. The key to the room also operated the lift so it automatically took you to the correct floor which was a really good idea. We had a room overlooking the road but also looked out to sea and had the casino in our sights. The balcony was very large and we had a table and 4 chairs for outdoor dining. In addition we had 2 no sun loungers which we used regularly as the balcony was a sun trap. The other thing that impressed us was the "go green" policy whereby if you did not want your room cleaned/beds changed/towels changed every day, you placed a green card on the door and you would just have the beds made, bins emptied and clean cups placed in the room but as a reward you received a 5 euro credit to spend in the bar/restaurant of the hotel. This is a really good incentive because I don't know about others but I certainly do not have clean towels every day of the week at home and therefore why should I expect it whilst on holiday We did lots of walking and the marina itself was lovely. It got livelier at weekends Friday, Saturday, Sunday as there were groups of hens/stags and also the weekend golfing groups but it was generally a very nice atmosphere. All in all we had a very nice relaxing trip and would definitely return some day.

Just arrived back from the hotel, Positives : Room 226, Good sized rooms, comfortable bed, great shower. shower room and small Balcony ok, WiFi great by pool and restaurant, free safe. Great Breakfast. Good views to beach and marina. Reception staff very informative, recommended some local bars and restaurants. Hotel clean, rooms, restaurant, lounge etc. location ideal for the marina, beach and 20 mins walk to Quarteria, Thanks to Henri who stops for a chat, keeps the pool area clear of litter, and reorganises the beds on the evening.
Cons: Pool area not the best, in need of a good sweep, particularly along the grass edges. Not enough sun beds, no mattresses, and only 10 shades along the grass edges. Head shades on sun beds good ideal. Very Very low key entertainment, nothing on the evenings. Bit of road noise from the road circling the pool area. Poor WiFi and TV channels,
Recommend the Fisherman’s shack, and Refaels nearby restaurants, Caravela and Rose Branca in Quarteria. Parrilla Natural few miles from Quarteria
Overall we enjoyed the hotel and location.

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveller reviews.
We travelled as a group of 12 golfers, overall I dont have have any real major complaints about the hotel at all, bearing in mind we only really slept there as we were out most of the day and evening, it was comfortable and suited our needs perfectly.
The staff speak great english, and were very friendly. the pool and bar area is comfortable and the bar staff were great.
The pool itself is on the small side but the beach is only a couple of hundred yards away.
I have a couple little criticisms about the hotel, There is no room service so getting a coffee or tea out of hours is a non starter. There are coffee machines in the room, the 1st 4 cups of coffee are complementary, anything after this you pay for plus there is no milk, or complementary water either, water is in the mini bar which has to be paid for. I asked for a cup of tea at 6.30am and was told they couldn't help and suggested I visited a petrol station quite a walk away for my drink. The restaurant for breakfast opens at 7.30 which as an early riser, I would have rather it opened as most hotels do at 7am. A buffet style breakfast but the plates are really small so you'll need 2 trips. Mushrooms are cooked in garlic YUCK, but over all the food was of a good quality. There is only 1 toaster so expect to queue for your toast, especially as you would have to put your bread through 3-4 times if you like a bit of colour. Plenty of choice for cold meats, cheeses and fruit
The bedrooms are not the biggest, well put it this way my party we all had the same size rooms. the balconies likewise were small, barely enough room for the table and 2 chairs.
There is a gymnasium and a games room, however they do need to invest in a new pool table it was dreadful. Table tennis too
Overall as a golfer it was comfortable enough for us, I would go back so don't be put off by my critique i would still give it a 8 out of 10.
I have to mention the pool guy, a young lad who took his job seriously, his attention to detail when he was lining up the bedchairs was quite impressive. We left him a small tip, he was bowled over bless him.

On arrival very speedy check in and before the 14.00 time that was given. The 2 bedroom apartment on the 2nd floor was superb. The ensuite bathroom had a waterfall style shower bath. The 2nd bathroom had a standard power shower with excellent pressure. Beds and pillows extremely comfortable. Plenty of wardrobe space too. Furniture now looking a but dated but there were e televisions and plenty of plug sockets. Buffet breakfast very good. Fresh fruits, ham cheeses, many different types of breads, rolls etc. Only 1 toasting machine which at peak time of 9.00 meant a little wait. Hot food was always replenished. Fried, scrambled and boiled eggs, crispy bacon and well cooked sausages. Plus excellent baked beans which put to shame those served in equivalent English hotel buffets. Fresh juices, 3 good coffee machines. Transfers to the Dom Pedro courses very speedy too. Only had to wait 5 mins at reception and the course to return to the hotel. The bar in the evening was also excellent with the 2 male bar staff both extremely funny and always having some banter especially whilst making cocktails for my sons. Only a 2 minute walk to the marina where there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. Also a 2 minute walk to the beach which was empty although it was particularly breezy. The boys favourites were the Retinto Rodizio of 10 different meats from metal skewers and the Rare Steakhouse for some authentic Argentinian steak. Overall well worth its 4 star rating and you can also use the facilities at the sister hotels. We used the Padel tennis court and indoor pool and sauna at the Dom Pedro Vilamoura hotel which is a 5 min walk around the corner. Would recommend staying here for the location and rooms.

We have stayed in Vilamoura on many occasions, but never before at the Dom Pedro Marina. But owing to the lack of availability in our usual hotels, we thought we would give this hotel a go due to its central location. We were a booking of 4 rooms with 4 adults / 4 teens and booked through Jet2holidays. Although the rooms are basic, they are spacious and very clean. The beds are comfortable and the pillows are amazing. Housekeeping serviced our room daily and we were never short of anything that we needed. The aircon was definitely needed during our stay and had no frowsy smell like some places we have stayed in. I was concerned about the relatively small pool area compared to what we have been used to, but I must say that we never struggled to get sun beds and we loved that the loungers had the moveable extra bit to protect your upper body from the sun. Breakfast was like most local hotels: lots of fruit, cheese, meats, croissants and cooked food. The pizzas here are amazing, you will not be disappointed. The bar prices are very reasonable and the red wine sangria was very tasty. All members of staff we interacted with were courteous and professional. Definitely a very good cheaper option for Vilamoura.

Recent stay in this lovely hotel. This was our second time here, and am already looking forward to a return. The weather wasn’t the greatest in March, but that didn’t put us off having a lovely holiday. The location is ideal, with only a few minutes walk to the Marina. The breakfast was good, without being exceptional, it was relaxed and the staff are all helpful. Our room was spacious, and had a small balcony with partial sea and Marina view. We would have sacrificed this for a quieter room, as it could be loud in the early hours, with people on the road going/ coming from the Casino. The bar was spacious and comfortable, and while it was hotel prices, that was in line or sometimes even cheaper than the prices around the Marina. Walk in shower and had toiletries, hairdryer , tea/coffee machine., Small fridge and a safe all available in room. Iron and ironing board was available on request, and towels were also available from reception. Would definitely recommend for people looking for a relaxing, quieter location.

I’ve stayed in many hotels in Vilamoura and whilst this one is by no means the prettiest, the staff and the room facilities exceed what I experienced at many of the others. Every member of staff that we interacted with were polite friendly professional and welcoming. The rooms were huge, with a very large lounge area, large bedroom, excellent ensuite bathroom and masses of storage (cupboards, wardrobes, etc.). We were only on a half board tariff so I cannot comment on the evening meals but our experience of the breakfasts was brilliant. Very well stocked tables full of fresh and newly cooked products. All the waiting staff were prompt without being intrusive. Staying at one of the Dom Pedro hotels also meant that for all our games at their golf courses we got free transfers to and from each one. The transfers were easy to book, very prompt with lovely friendly and helpful drivers.

This is a great 4* hotel. They have great attentive staff, a great pool bar, internal bar, restaurant, spa, and games room. Great pool with plenty of sun beds round the pool - we never saw a morning rush after breakfast and even came back about 11:30am after a walk and had a selection of beds to choose from. Breakfast had a great selection of food and drinks. Room was great (suite facing the pool) which was large and had a double balcony. Location of hotel was also good with a short walk to the Marina and the beach and there was a beach walkway all the way to Quarteira that takes about 15 mins. Recommend this hotel and would have no hesitation in returning.

The staff make this hotel what it is. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the rooms and areas around the hotel are kept immaculate. The hotel is in an excellent location, 2 minutes’ walk to the beach and 2 minutes walk to the Marina. Room was spacious, it had a coffee machine, but no kettle. But we did ask for a kettle, and it was sent straight to our room. Room also had a mini bar that could be used as a fridge. A few points that could be improved though. Air conditioning was poor, maybe it was kept off because it was the start of the season. We had a south facing room and the room did get hot, we left our balcony door open at night, but there is a lot of noise from outside the hotel in the early hours. Shower, a water flow restriction is added to the shower head, so the shower has a very weak flow of water. Balcony was very tiny, with a big a table that takes up most of the space, could do with a smaller coffee table instead. We did put the table in the room to allow us to sit comfortably on the balcony. We didn't use the restaurant as there’s such an excellent choice of restaurants around the Marina. We did use the bar, and bar staff were lovely. We would definitely return to this hotel.

Stayed here with my husband for a week in June 2023 as part of a large group attending our friend’s wedding in old town.
We stayed B&B and selected a Classic sea view room and was on the 3rd floor. The rooms are basic and could do with a refurb but they are clean and spacious. I found the bed too hard but the pillows are amazing and the large shower was really good. Housekeeping changed towels & cleaned daily. Wardrobe space is good with a good selection of hangers but we did request for a few extras which was not an issue. AirCon is good and stays on without the keycard inserted.
The pool area is ok but had a few loose floor tiles, did not have enough Sun-beds for everyone and only had a handful of parasols that unless you were up at the crack of dawn had no chance of reserving. We had a yellow weather warning during our stay with temperatures reaching 36 degrees so with no shade was very difficult to relax around the pool.
Breakfast was ok, buffet style with the usual hot food, cheese, meats and pastries. Disappointed no omelettes or pancakes available unless purchased at extra cost. There is a good selection of snacks available for lunch and highly recommended the pizza’s. A pint of Sagres was €5, a spirit with mixer around €8 & cocktails around €12. Similar prices around the Marina.
Perfect location for the marina which has plenty of bar’s & restaurants. Highly recommend ‘News’, ‘Mayflower’ & ‘Chinese Zu-Yi’
Overall a nice hotel, helpful staff and perfect location.
