No doubt that this is a luxurious property for a stay-cation, hence on the higher price range side, but its totally worth it. Went here for a couple of days and had the best time ever. The property is magnificent, beautifully constructed . Took my dog along as well . It is pet friendly with additional cost. We had traditional Indian food which was very homely. Private pool, picturesque lake, clay construction of the resort , privacy of each cottage , amazing hosts, clear sky for star gazing , calm and serene atmosphere are some of the major features of this place. This place isn't for you if : 1. You are looking to party with loud music etc. Property is constructed keeping in peace with the wildlife and nature, hence loud parties etc will definitely take away the calmness from this place and scare off the surrounding animals. 2. If you have very young kids. The terrain of the area is rocky/hilly. There is some amount of walking involved within the property as well and there are edges from places near the cottages which is not safe for young kids. They would have to be continuously monitored. 3. If you hate walking. The cottages are built around the lake and some distance is kept between these cottages to maintain privacy which is actually excellent. But if you just cant walk then this isn't for you. One needs to wear walking shoes here as its a rocky area. 4. If you cant do without people/crowd/TV/internet/etc. The property is designed for quiet getaways. So ones coming from busy city life may take a second to absorb the quietness all of a sudden but once it sinks in, the peace can definitely be appreciated. 5. Lastly this isn't for you if you're on a budget. This is an expensive place . I do check my budget most times but this time I had to do something special for my husband so surprised him by taking him here and it was worth it.

Absolutely loved our 3 night stay at Lakshman Sagar. The earthy interior flourishes in the cottage, colorful accessories combined with the amenities made for a lovely blend of old-timey and luxury. The food was perfect - light, organic and very local, giving us something new to try and yet a refreshing break from the fatty, pseudo-exotic fare typically found in restaurants. The staff is very sweet and dedicated - we thoroughly enjoyed the kayaking, spa and nature walk. The new year event was fabulous; the local folk musicians had me totally hooked; it took the freezing December cold to push me back indoors a bit sooner than I'd have liked. We enjoyed our conversations with Indrani and Vikram who were gracious hosts. A huge shoutout to Mr. Dayal, Sherooji and Ranaji and the other staff for making us not want to leave. Mr. Dayal made it a point to squeeze in some stargazing on our request on new year's eve, despite the otherwise busy evening demanding his presence! If you're looking to get away from the crowds and the city (all the more relevant with the ongoing pandemic), if you're into nature - birds, rocks and the like, if you generally prefer some quiet and calm or are willing to take it slow, if you're not addicted to WiFi or are looking to detox, and if are willing to loosen the purse strings a little bit, this place is a great choice!

Room Tip: All rooms are equally good, but request cottages 7 or 8 for a view overlooking the artificial lake.

we came back from an amazing stay at lakshman sagar just a few days back and are already reeling from effects of chaotic city life.. staying close to nature away from hustle bustle was such a welcome relief.. initially, we were confused over whether to stay for 2 or 3 nights.. once we decided on 3 nights, we packed few indoor games etc. in case we get bored there.. but never felt the need of them.. once there one just feel like taking life easy and soak in the surrounding beauty instead.. cottages are very spacious, beautifully done up and sufficiently spaced out to give the residents their privacy.. they serve superb delicious food with great variety, didn't repeat any vegetable over the many meals we had there.. and best part is hospitality of the entire staff and the gracious hosts indrani & vikram.. always making sure that guests are being well taken care.. without a doubt, lakshman sagar is the best resort that we have stayed at in india..

Lakshman Sagar is a very well maintained property amidst nature. If you are a nature lover, then it is ultimately the first option to experience mother nature. It is a home away from home, and you will find some delicious home-cooked food along with the such a lovely staff who takes care of every need of yours. Special thanks to Indrani & Vikram. They are just like friends to us now with whom you can talk for hours. Thank you, Manish, for serving us good food and Dayal Ji for flora and fauna's fantastic information. Thanks to the whole Lakshman Sagar team for the memorable stay. Regards, Navya & Ekta Bhalla
