Very characterful, and a peaceful place to stay, handy for visiting Oxford. We were unfortunate to share our stay with a very noisy couple who stayed up rowing till 3:00am. The owners can't be held to account for this kind of unforeseeable occurrence but kindly offered us a discount for the annoyance. We have stayed here before without this hassle...

We organised a reunion and decided to meet and eat at The Bat & Ball, Cuddesdon. On arrival the staff were cheerful and very welcoming, they were also very accommodating with our large party, 14 of us. The whole evening was an absolute joy, in no small measure down to the professional way in which all of the staff treated...

The room was clean and the bed was really comfy. We had an evening meal and breakfast there and we cannot fault the food, the fish and chips was amazing but it is a big portion! Staff on site were welcoming and the service cannot be faulted! It is a lovely pub in a quaint area.

We had a meal booked locally and wanted a quiet country pub for our anniversary. The Bat and Ball is a nice pub and the staff are friendly however the rooms are small and close to the road and above the barrel store. Three of the rooms are accessed via a difficult to negotiate spiral staircase and at seven thirty...

My friend and I stayed in a twin room for one night. I booked the place because it was dog-friendly. We had a ground floor room with easy access to outside all night which was perfect for the dog. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast there. We ate both in the bar area...

Dropped in for a late lunch with our two children. Made to feel welcome and served promptly. This is a lovely country pub with a lovely open fire. The food is generous and well priced. Some very good beers and a reasonable choice of wines.

Myself, my husband, and our dog! recently stayed at The Bat and Ball Pub for a one night stay, whilst visiting friends in Oxford. What a lovely, cosy, village pub this is, with very friendly and accommodating staff too! We arrived around 5.00pm, had no problem parking in the pubs free car park, and although the bar was rather busy,...

A hidden gem in the oxfordshire countryside - Away from the hustle and bustle of Oxford but only 20min drive into the city centre. Stayed for one night in one of the first floor bedrooms (Not to be advised if you struggle with mobility - spiral staircase), had all the amenities and clean throughout - slightly on the small side...

We visited The Bat and Ball for a Sunday lunch in February. It is local to us and we have visited many times before and it has always been fine. Unfortunately the food and service was so appalling that we will not be returning again. There were only about 5 options actually available (from a sizeable menu), the rest were...
