Small comfortable hotel in good location if in area. Staff friendly, rooms comfortable but small. Rooms clean, I suspect satellite wifi and tv so in a severe storm can be slow or interrupted,
Parking easy and easy to find.
Restaurant attached good,
I would stay again if in area.

Had to work late and was stuck on the Irish loop without a room booked anywhere . Called John Devereaux ( owner of Edge Of The Avalon Inn) Even though the Inn was booked up and kitchen was closed , he went out of his way to get us a room at The Annex location 5 minutes away and made sure his staff put together some sandwiches for us . He went way above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. He owns the annex as well . Had darts and a pool table in the basement rec room as well as a Bluetooth karaoke speaker. Beds were comfortable . Big thanks to a family operation that is looking to give excellent service to its customers.

This is such a cute place, the food, service and people are so friendly and accommodating. The grounds and rooms are very nice, we were presently surprised.
The staff is over accommodating, you can’t drink the water but they have plenty of bottled water and you can shower and bath just minerals in the water. The restaurant has a beatific view. Almost forgot the food portions are huge couldn’t finish my meal so delicious. Thank you for the relaxing stay.

The walls and doors are PAPER THIN. Every time someone opened a door we woke up, if someone was talking in the hallway, we woke up. Lucky for us there were some very rowdy grown men being loud and partying there and nothing was done about that all night.

The restaurant wasn’t open but the housekeeper made up food anyways, it was tasty but when we were given the bill it was $25 a plate for half a chicken breast each potato’s and carrots, not made by a chef.

The tap water is not drinkable, we were given two bottles of water in our rooms for the whole night. When we went to go find more there was no water in the fountain, no ice machine, and no staff. We died of thirst, literally started boiling tap water in the coffee pot and putting it in the fridge.

Although the room was clean and comfortable enough much of the furniture and fixtures were old and well worn. Room security (lock) was very week. The door had only a standard older household indoor latch with a defective striker plate which did not retain the latch. Staff had to be called to correct the problem because the catch would not hold the door closed. Also there was no deadbolt or security chain. Also the bedside lamps were unplugged behind the bed and staff had to be called to plug them in. Obviously there are no routine inspections being done to ensure everything is in order for guests. The fee of $140.00 + tax for a basic hotel room is extremely high given the lack of amenities and the property itself. This is a very old inn with a few upgrades. We stayed in an inn a few hours drive further west on the south coast the night before where we had a full suite with a bedroom , setting, dining and kitchen suite. This property was fully upgraded and the fee was only $119.00+tax. We were disappointed with the Edge of Avalon Inn.

I stayed here for a work trip, we were informed beforehand that the restaurant would be closed but that there would be someone around to make food for us if we wanted something. It was kind of awkward when we arrived, the check in wasn’t obvious, didn’t seem like much staff were on which I’m sure is covid19 related. Either way our room was cute, the beds were super comfy, it seemed very clean. Our complimentary breakfast was brought to us that evening which was nice as we were leaving early the next day. Upon check out in the morning, again no one was around and I was not informed of where to leave the room key. I literally left it on a shelf and left because we had to go to work. I realize it’s off season and low staff is understandable. Overall, it was a good stay. Trepassy is beautiful.

I cannot say enough about this place , it was absolutely beautiful everything that you would need is provided. Just bring your own groceries and beverages and its home away from home only better, So peaceful , relaxing and quiet. The owner checked in on us to make sure everything was ok and it certainly was. I would recommend this place to anyone . .We plan on returning again.

We stayed in the comfortable cottage - 4 adults and 2 children. Plenty of space, huge bathrooms, lovely family dining room overlooking the ocean. Hosts were friendly and solicitous, and anxious that all our needs were met. Well-equipped and well-maintained.

Clean and comfortable room with handy mini fridge. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking at the side of the building was convenient and made it easy to access my room. I was on a birdwatching visit to the area so the location was ideal. Recommended!

This Inn is very centrally located on the Irish Loop, close to Mistaken Point, Cape Race, St. Vincent's, etc. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and quiet, and some (including ours) had a nice view of the water. The hosts are friendly and helpful. There is a restaurant on site with a good range of options. No complaints from us!

There is a convenience store within walking distance of the hotel and they have an ATM outside the store. It’s a hotel not a youth hostel, so they have normal double beds - unless you are looking for a family room in which case I don’t know.
