We have stayed at the Harborside for the past few years. We were there e week of June 21st 2016. Rooms are just fine especially on a budget. THE RESTAURANT! The past 3 years we ate at the restaurant. Terrific prices, service, friendliness of the staff. The hostess greeted us every time she saw us entering the restaurant or hotel....

I can't judge based on other hotel values on the island but in comparison to all other hotels I have ever stayed in I was really disappointed. For $250 a night plus tax you have absolutely no view and our room was TINY! Upon arrival you can not miss the crooked staircase and a suicide ladder leading up to the...

I've stayed at the Harborside Inn twice during two different vacations to Block Island. In my opinion, it's the best place to stay if you're on a budget. It's always the least expensive option out of the similar hotels/inn's right at Old Harbor (The National, Surf, etc). I'm already planning to book Harborside for 4 different trips to Block next...

We have been going to block island for about five years and have been staying at the harborside inn. We absolutely love it there and we have always made our reservations through block island reservations. The staff is incredibly accommodating and they go the extra mile to ensure our stay is nothing less than perfect.

This is my second trip to the Harborside Inn having begun a yearly tradition of Labor Day weekend on the island. The hotel is situated practically opposite the ferry which is perfect for lugging coolers with beer and suitcases etc. It's also right on the center town strip for shopping, restaurants and maybe 10mins max walk from 75% of the...

Stayed here as part of a package deal through Block Island Reservations. Block Island is like a step back in time to a simpler, no frills lifestyle, We have stayed at other motels/time shares here and know that the lodgings are not fancy on the island. They are basic and simple. We knew the Harborside Inn was old and so...

This Inn is indeed right at the harbor. You won't need a cab to get there from the ferry. If the harbor area is where you want to be, this is less expensive than most -- but don't expect a lot for your still substantial outlay. Our room was very small, not in great shape, and furnished with an outsized...

Booked the room through blockislandreservations.com. We stayed in room 215. It was the smallest room we ever stayed in. Bathroom sink was in the living area and toilet and stand up shower was in a separate room. Room had A/C and was very chilly (a good thing for us). The hotel is the check in point for other inn's in...

Third time staying at this place. My Mom and I have been going for a 2 night mother/daughter vacation for 3 years now. We always stay in the same room (205). Ocean view. Room and bathroom are always clean. LOVE the restaurant/deck downstairs. The breakfast is the best. The lunch/dinner food are also delicious. Love sitting on the deck late...

The answer to everything seems to be that "this is a hundred-year old hotel." No elevator (and nobody to help you with your bags), narrow and steep stairs, no hair-dryer, no in-room fridge or microwave, and all for a high price. No wifi on the third floor, so you have to take your computer down to the lobby and hope...
