Attended a hen party, beautiful food and great package offered. Room had all facilities minus a fan. Staff extremely attentive, first name terms with them and couldn't do enough to make the brides night. Special thanks to Connor, Olivia, Marc, Avais and especially Rachel having to deal with 15 hens the morning after. Will definitely be back!

Recently at a friends wedding and the organisation was terrible. No one knew what was happening no one was there to tell us anything, rooms wernt ready on time guests were left hanging around for most of the day. Also very expensive for 1 blue wkd + 1 red bull was £7.00!! Highly recommend looking elsewhere if organising your big...

I took some family and friends to the Torrance on Tuesday night for some cocktails for my daughter's 18th birthday. What a let down. We ordered 5 cocktails and it took half an hour for them to arrive despite the fact the bar was empty. When I asked a member of staff what the delay was I was frostily told...

Decided to give this place a visit last night, shouldn't have bothered. The prices of the drinks are ridiculous, almost £8 for a cocktail which was mostly ice and the prosecco cocktail came in a tiny "champagne" glass. No wonder there was hardly anyone in 😏

Husband and I decided to try here for Valentine's Day. We opted for the 3 courses for 16.95- excellent value for money. I had the lobster and prawn cocktail, braised daube of beef and sticky toffee. All to die for! The service was excellent and nothing was to much for the girl serving us, I didn't catch her name but...

We chose this hotel for a get together with family in the area of East Kilbride. The pictures on line were truthful and exactly how we found the hotel. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner were delicious. Staff, servers, etc were fabulous! My room was small but perfect for 1 or a couple. Looks like it had been recently updated. Very comfy.

Had an excellent meal here with family, food and service very good. Would rate this hotel much higher but for but' on receiving the bill I was shocked to see we were charged for two small containers of gravy.(£3.80) despite asking that some items which accompanied the meal were not required

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcoming traditional village hotel in walking distance to Scotland's largest undercover shopping and leisure centre in East Kilbride. East Kilbride has many local attractions including Village Theatre, Golf Courses, Ten Pin Bowling, Ice Skating, Odeon Cinema and is only 7 miles from Glasgow city centre. Built in 1773 by General Stuart of Torrance as a cotton-spinning mill and workers' houses the building in Torrance Square provided a focus for town life. In its many incarnations the popular Torrance Hotel has also housed a school, a shop and a Coaching Inn, but it has always been at the heart of East Kilbride. The building has retained all its original character and charm. We have 20 comfortable bedrooms including the newly refurbished Honeymoon Suite for 2007. Enjoy a meal in our warm and friendly restaurant or lounge bar which caters for a wide range of food from traditional meals to bar snacks. We are a 5 minute walk from the local train station which will take you straight into Glasgow's Central Station which runs every half hour. If more information is required then do not hesitate to ask our friendly receptionist staff. We would like to advise guests that there will be no bar or restaurant facilities for the next 4 months. We are undergoing a major refurbishment to improve the services to the guests in the future. ... more   less
