We relaxed as soon as we arrived. The rainforest location is so special. Our rainforest lodge was perfect and the sunroom surrounded by trees was such a sanctuary. We found the hugging (healing tree) on the rainforest walk and the kids kept on going back for hugs - such good vibes. The kids enjoyed the pool which was shallow - great for our young children. Eleme day spa was a dream - I had the chakra healing massage and really enjoyed the relaxing and immersive experience of the crystals and sound bowls too. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner at Forest and the staff are really exceptional. Not easy dining with 2 young kids but the staff there were so great with our kids. It's amazing we lasted through the delicious 5 course degustation! A must try with the matching wines. The squid and kingfish were the winners for us. I am so glad I did the morning yoga class (even if it was just once!) looking right into the rainforest - a great start to the day. We can't wait to return!…

We have been going to this resort for years under Jerry Harvey's ownership. The new establishment provides the some of the same amenities, but not all. The most disappointing part of our stay was the Forest Restaurant I booked for our anniversary dinner, that weekend. *We were shoved in a corner and nearly forgotten *A lovely waitress finally appeared apologizing and took our drinks order. *We ordered a small entrée to keep us sated until our main meal. *We waited over and hour for the main meal, my meal was a seafood linguine. *The young waitress was most apologetic, offered us another drink. *When the food arrived my pasta was not 'al dente' uncooked and cold at the bottom of the plate. An enormous prawn tentacles and all sat on top of the dish. *Even the young waitress was perplexed. I asked how does chef propose I should eat this. Again she apologized and asked if we would like to order something else. We thanked her for her efforts to recover the situation, asked for the bill, and left. Our Anniversary dinner in tatters. I have been here several times and the previous visits were inevitably a dissapointment. This time however, almost everything went right. The food in the restaurant was sublime; the service throughout friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delightful, sat on the veranda under the gas heaters contemplating the beautiful surroundings. The only negative was that I could not connect to my phone by Chromecast as it kept thinking I was in Squiggly Gum, which apparently is a meeting room in the main resort. It was disappointing that what seemed to be a minor issue could not be resolved and was left unresolved without me being updated. Watching my new series on an iPad was definitely not the same, but technology often has the upper hand. It was a minor point.

Really well designed place that sits gently in the (protected) wetlands, well equipped, nice hotel, short walk through the wetlands to the vast extent of the each. Staff are wonderful, whole suite well designed, our stay let down by spongy mattress causing poor sleep

me and the rest of my other 3 friends (W90 and W89 tenants) would like to say a big thank you. words are not enough how grateful we were for your outstanding service and great assistance to us. the customer service was superb and excellent... we celebrated our friend's surprise 40th birthday here and a getaway bonding. the receptionist Arran (assistant manager) and the rest of the team were very helpful to pulled out this surprise. Arran assisted me and my friends all throughout our stay. Arran is very approachable. There was a hiccup in the booking but they were able to fix it and gave us connecting room close to one another (me and the other 3 girls). The dining staff/s (THE FOREST) Laura, Jocelyn and the rest of the team were excellent. they always make sure we were looked after. They are very friendly, exceptional customer service and down to earth people. The ambience and the food from breakfast and dinner are super awesome, delicious and excellent. This place such a gem and highly recommended. The place is amazing, relaxing and super worth coming back. Friendly and super kind staff/s. Staying here was one our treasured memories to keep. We arrived On the Friday to discover we had accidentally booked for the previous weekend but the lovely girls at the front counter were more than helpful in arranging our stay. My partner and I had facials booked at the spa again this was a beautiful experience thanks to Grace for my first ever spa experience I came out of it on a definite high. We stayed in one of the Cypress suites nestled amongst the native flora. The hotel was at capacity but you wouldn't know it as it felt like we were the only ones there due to the layout of the buildings. We chilled on the veranda and enjoyed some cocktails and food from the restaurant. All in all our stay was great and we definitely are coming back.

This place used to be lovely, but things have been run-down and it’s showing it’s age. Rooms are nicely appointed but need a fresh coat of paint, and the soft furnishings are looking tired. The service is really where things are not 5 star though. Room service is a take-your-pick from 4 different burgers … that’s it. And while the in-house dining options are pretty good, the staff make you feel like they are doing you a favour when they serve you. Comments like ‘we don’t do that but I’ll see if I can make an exception for you’ and ‘if you want to order off our balcony menu you need to move to the next table’ when there was only one other couple anywhere to be seen and the table we were asked to move to was identical … just 2 meters further away from the bar. I get that COVID recovery takes time so manybe that’s why the place looks a bit tired… but good service is a non-negotiable for 5 stars.…

The resort is set amongst beautiful coastal flats with abundant rainfrest, not a great deal to do but plentiful walks. Byron Bay is not far if you need a new t-shirt. The Treetops Suite accommodation is spacious and relaxing but lacking in privacy. The bathroom area is separated only from he rest by shoji screens made with glass but with openings. There is no extractor fan or air spray provided, ventilation is the outside louvres inside the shower recess (May was quite chilly) or it vents into the rest of the apartment. There was no literature in the apartment for things to do, or for the coffee machine or the washing machine if you wanted to just dry clothes (it rained about 10 minutes into our first walk). Huge ice-blocks as large as the glass in a cocktail might be trendy but not user friendly. The food was delicious and the staff very helpful.…

Lovely accommodation. Lots of walks and backs onto the beach. Wild life around. Has a fabulous spa and great restaurant within the grounds. Only 10 minutes from Bryon Bay township and 15 minutes from Bangalow. Rooms are well set out and spacious.

We stayed for a few nights at this lovely resort. Our room was great with screened balconies front and rear, although it was a bit chilly for us to use it would be lovely in the warmer months. The room is well set out with a kitchenette, sitting area, great bathroom and sleeping area. Bed was very comfortable although I found the pillows too high. The pool area looked very inviting and the grounds were large and you felt like you were in a forest. The negative for us was the dining and the bar. Firstly let me say the staff were great. My pet hate though is being charged an exhorbitant amount ($52) for a small piece of average meat and then having to pay to have accompanying vegetables, it was nearly $30 for some brussel sprouts (which I just couldn't pay for)! Their reasoning is, apparently, that it gives the customer the choice of sides, my point of view is that they can get more money. Our mistake was also going on a Sunday night when an additional 15% is added to your bill, I know this is becoming increasingly common but warning should be given. A very expensive meal. Breakfast was not much better. I chose the pancakes with berries which, while the pancakes were nice, were 3 small saucer sized pancakes, however, if you are paying $29 for pancakes with berries, the berries need to be a feature, not a garnish. "Berries' consisted of 6 blueberries, 2 raspberries and 1 (one!) strawberry quartered. This serving just made the whole thing look stingy, which it was. The table next to me also ordered pancakes and I could see the looks of disappointment on their faces as well. The other breakfasts looked better. To sum it up, we would definitely stay here again but would not be eating there.…
