Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I don’t like eating the ‘motel’ but unfortunately there is no option to rate the food and dining area.

As a local, I’ve always taken pride and advised people to eat and drink here. Honestly, it’s going down hill.
I ordered a schnitty, the place was busy, and while it’s great to have rapid service, getting a cold food 3 mins later is worrying.

Need to get back to the basics guys!

A short term place to stay along the main thoroughfare. A simple room with all you need for a night or two. A bit of confusion to start with ...the office being closed...and where to check in. Was disturbed at one stage with one of the neighbours outside the back door going past. The tavern was handy on-site for dinner, plus a local bakery at the shops nearby. Close to Byron, only about 5kms down the road.

Comfortable, simple, but everything you need for a stay. Bathroom, kitchenette and beds. Access to hotel pool. Within walking distance to the hotel restaurant and local bakery. Nice outdoor space coming out of your unit to sit outside: Lovely breeze throughout the unit.

This little motel goes the extra mile. Service is personalized, spick and span throughout and a great location in rhe heart of a foodie hub. It’s a flat 5 km bike ride from Byron, with a very relaxed vibe. Cant recommend more highly. Thank you Janet!

This is a true local pub that also services tourists many from the local camp grounds. It's anything but an old fashioned pub. The ambiance is great, eat in our outside, kids play area and good live music.

The highlight is the food. Great choice and beautifully presented. The quality is tops and is really consistent.

Highly recommend this place. If your staying in Byron it's 5 minutes drive South and well worth it.

We stayed in Room 3. Room was dirty, stain on bedsheets, dead bug on wall, mould smell in the room, sticky carpet, most uncomfortable mattresses, dust everywhere, rusty microwave, tv remote was so dirty and sticky we had to disinfectant ourselves. Bathroom is the worst - pubic hair from previous guests in showers, mould in grout, mould in ceiling, paint peeling off, water damage door frame, dirty and dated toilet and vanity. Our local park public toilets are better then this hotel toilet.

Picked up our room key from the bar, reception staff were rude and unprofessional. No information about hotel amenities, wifi etc. Room service meant change towels and provide new garbage bin liner, bed not made, room not tidied up, tea/coffee not replaced - poor service in that regard. Could definitely use some upgrading, premises look old. We have no idea who the hotel manager was if we need to ask questions. Full of young staff at the bar that seem more interested in socialising than serving customers. Dishwashing liquid was watered down, Kitchen wash cloth was old and unhygienic. At the most 2 stars out of 5.

This is located about 10 minutes drive out of Byron Bay but has a little kiosk of shops & the hotel next to the accomodation.
Rooms were very old & dated & a little grubby looking. Road traffic was very loud as the room backed onto the main road, glad we only stayed 1 night as 2 would have been a bit harder to handle.
Positive was that it has free parking in the carpark adjoining the pub next door.

The service wasn’t great at all moody staff, didn’t have the two main food choices we wanted. Friend had steak come out covered in mushroom sauce when he asked for peppercorn and he hates mushrooms got a new one in which the previous was asked for medium and it came like a leather boot was very well done. $5 tummies was the best but wouldn’t recommend or go back!

The food at the Park Hotel is pub grub, that's a given. We waited over an hour for 2 burgers. (Sign at the bar said ' wait time 45 mins'). There were people in front of us who ordered after us but received their meals well before us. There were four guys running round the kitchen like headless chooks, dancing to the live music. I'm glad they were having a good time. They couldn't organise a 'piss-up' in a brewery. We had almost given up on getting our order, I had to get up and ask when it was possible we might get something to eat. I was far from being in a good mood by the time the stuff arrived. As Jeremy Clarkson says, "how hard can it be?" The place wasn't even busy! Definitely won't be back!
