Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Surfpoint close to beaches and Margaret River tourist attractions. Nic is such a warm welcoming host who makes sure all needs are met. Place has a great habitat garden and communal spaces. Beds super comfy, ensuite bathroom clean and excellent water pressure - instant hot, laundry free use of. Shared kitchen and dining facilities always clean - fantastic to cook in and dining room and lounge great to chat and meet people from all walks of life. Fire set and ready to light these winter nights. We loved it and would definitely stay again.

Our group of 13 stayed in "glamping tents" for 8 nights, as part of the Cape to Cape Explorers tour run by Gene. Wonderful experience, led by Nikki & her team at Surfpoint Resort, and Gene & his brilliant team of leaders and staff from Cape to Cape Explorers. Well organised, fully functional crew. Great fun was had by all.

While this resort is priced as a budget resort, I found it to be excellent. The staff were extremely personable & helpful. My room was excellent & and all the facilities are maintained to high level. The location is also excellent. It’s a short walk to the beach & it’s a great walk to the Margaret River mouth. There’s also a bar, restaurant & coffee shop within walking distance.

The Management were just great. Friendly, welcoming and very helpful. After a lifetime in hospitality, my measure of a very good place to stay is the state of the toilets/bathroom. The toilets and showers here are spotless. Always filled with eco friendly body wash , hand towels and totally spotless. All staff very friendly and the resort is close to everything. Must add that usually sharing common facilities is not ideal EXCEPT for this resort. I always used the shared showers and toilet and our family always wanted to eat in the kitchen/dining area. Easy decision to give a 5 star rating. Well done. Kind regards Stephen Fenton

We have just had 5 amazing days at Surfpoint resort , the whole resort is immaculate, it caters for backpackers through to families . Family rooms, shared rooms , ensuite rooms . The shared bathrooms are immaculate with attention to detail in every space they provide Eco friendly products for your use . The common rooms and shared kitchen are fabulous, having these are great when you have children as there is no need to stay in your room . Kids have plenty of space . Swimming pool and bbq area is very pretty over looking the bush land . Close to everything with a fabulous pub next door . The staff are very very personable And extremely friendly . We will be back for the summer . Thankyou everyone.

The soothing, calming voice of Nic each day as she welcomed us back from the long Cape to Cape walk; and the encouraging farewell each morning as we headed off each day spoke volumes of the care and attention given for the whole duration of our stay. You won’t want to leave! Can’t wait to come back. Such a vital part of the Cape to Cape experience - I highly recommend Surfpoint Resort.

I stayed at the Surfpoint Resort as part of my Cape to Cape 7 day 8 night guided tour package with Cape to Cape Explorer Tours. I found the accomodation excellent and was impressed with how nothing was too much trouble for Nic and the team. A great place to stay and would highly recommend it.

A BIG thanks to Nic and her team at SurfPoint, we had the best time staying in our home away from home during our 5 days in the magical south west on our bespoke Myall Yoga & Wellbeing Studio Cape to Cape Hike and Yoga Retreat. Rain, shine, rainbows and a full blood moon during our stay, all the while keeping warm and cosy and enjoying the versatility of common areas that transformed into our yoga shala for us to enjoy our morning and evening yoga sessions! I can’t recommend the team enough for their organisation, logistics, flexibility and care, nothing was a problem and we were amply catered for. We’re looking forward to hosting our next bespoke Cape to Cape Hike and Yoga retreat at this homely and comfortable resort!

Nic & the team at Surfpoint go beyond and above with their service. I honestly can say I have not received this level of service and the small details that make them stand out. We got stuck in a storm as we were trekking the Cape to Cape and hoped Surfpoint would have availability. Upon phoning them they arranged suitable accommodation for myself and trekking buddies, arranged a bus to pick us up from the track and even put money in the washing machine and dryer so that we could start tomorrows trek with clean, dry clothes. The rooms are clean and tidy, comfy beds, beautiful locally made soaps provided for showers, a large commercial communal camp kitchen, Nespresso coffee machine, fire to dry our boots and hand towels provided in the bathroom. They really go the extra mile to add the special touches and make their guests feel valued. Would highly recommend this place whether you're trekking or looking for affordable shared accommodation.
