We stayed in the Pandanus Lodge as part of a time-share program and were disappointed with both accommodation and service. The room is seriously outdated, mismatched and poorly designed in sleeping areas, access and bathrooms. Quality was poor with kitchen utensils and appliances breaking and in poor condition. The towels were like cardboard and a couple were badly stained and...

A catamaran, a jetski, great food and drink, and 6 friends made for a great weekend. The water was smooth and the weather kind to us. A great place to just chill out and take in what we have just on our doorstop.

I didn't stay at this resort but joined a tour from the travel agent which includes the return ferry and three activities at the resort. It also included a handful of other free activities like ping pong, archery, basketball, etc. The weather was crap that day and was drizzling and about 22 degrees. A bit too cold for my liking...

Tangalooma Resort is an absolutely beautiful part of the world and we were fortunate to stay in the very well positioned Deep Blue apartments - however we will not return due to the overly expensive nature of the resort. Paid top money for the unit and its fantastic view, however when you pay that much, have an awesome balcony &...

Hi Pidge51, Immediately upon receiving your post-stay survey yesterday (and before this review was even posted on Tripadvisor), I was able to discuss a number of your complaints personally with a Board Director of the Resort. I am happy to report that as a result of that conversation, a new supply of BBQ utensils was immediately purchased for every Deep...

We travelled to Tangalooma Resort as a family of five - 2 adults and 3 kids aged 13 to 15. We stayed in a Beachfront villa - no. 54 for 6 nights in December 2014. I had read some terrible reviews regarding the renovation works etc - we experienced nothing adverse in this regard. In fact they finished the new...

Came over here a while back and stayed for a week checking out the island and the tours available. I have a few questions for the management regarding some of these tours. As a Field Scientist, I have worked in a number of countries and have helped promote and establish many Eco-certified operations in the tourism industry. With this in...

Tangalooma, Manager at Tangalooma Island Resort, responded to this review

Hi Dave C, Thank you for your questions and the opportunity to showcase the great lengths the Tangalooma Marine Education & Conservation Centre goes to provide (not just Australia's, but) the WORLD'S LEADING dolphin provisioning programme. You are correct in that it is very difficult to establish just how much any wild animal actually eats, how much energy they expend...

Beautiful beach, unfortunately, that is where the happiness ends. I don't consider any place a resort that does not enable some means of sitting comfortably on the beach with shade being optional. The only option is towel or no towel. I could have stayed home and sat very comfortably by a pool with an excellent lounge chair and a shade...

Hi DallasDallasGirl, On behalf of the wider Sales & Marketing team at Tangalooma, I would like to apologise for the obvious gap between your pre-arrival expectations, and the reality of your disappointment upon departure. There is clearly a breakdown on how our 3 1/2 star Aussie beach resort was sold to you, and we will now delve through our records...

I first saw Tangalooma Island from the Korea variety show - The Running Man and felt that I would like to get my family there for a holiday when we head to Brisbane. We booked a 3 days 2 night stay at the resort. I could only count 2 highlights for the trip - snorkelling around the shipwreck area and...

This is the second time we've been to Tangalooma. The first time we stayed in the hotel where the rooms are basic and in need of modernising. This time we stayed in appartment 22 - the apartment is modern and large with a great balcony overlooking the dolphin feeding. The apartments have their own pool that can only be accessed...

Hi MicLB, Thanks for taking the time to review your recent stay at Tangalooma Island Resort. It is pleasing to read that you enjoyed your stay in our Deep Blue Apartments. Our Deep Blue’s are definitely the cream of the crop at Tangalooma, and we frequently encourage guests to take advantage of the BBQ facilities available in these apartments. I...

Our first visit to here after 10 years in Oz. We are a bit spoilt as we are used to overseas resorts where you are treated very well. We enjoyed our stay here, dispite the amount of building work going on. It will look great when it's finished. Rooms were clean and tidy with the Kookaburra block being the best....
