We booked this hotel due to it's proximity to the Empire Theatre where we had tickets for a show. The receptionist Richie was very friendly and helpful, he even made reservations for us at a nearby restaurant. There is no restaurant in the hotel but this didn't matter as there is a Wetherspoons next door which was handy for breakfast....

110% this was my fourth visit to the hotel & the staff were very friendly & helpful as always. Will be booking another room later in the year. The rooms were very clean & I had a great nights sleep. Great place to eat & drink next door called The Lamb ton Worm

The hotel is extremely warm and welcoming with exceptional cleanliness and welcoming staff. It's in a great location, however if you were wanting a 'quiet' weekend/night there is a Wetherspoons next door which can be loud.

I visit this hotel quite often and I've never had any problems. The rooms are always spotless and the staff are amazing they're very helpful with near by restaurants and/or things to do locally, they're friendly and welcoming, Richie and Barbara are especially nice they can't do enough to help. Wouldn't stay any where else when I go to Sunderland

Staff were friendly, the room was clean and comfortable. Parking is a bit limited but ideal if you can get a space. Plenty of places to eat and drink close by but we liked the fact it was a 5 minute walk from the Sunderland Empire theatre and ideal for after our show ended. Nipped in to town on foot...

The Hotel was perfectly positioned for the Sunderland Empire Theater and a Wetherspoons pub was literally 5 strides away which was perfect for a pre show meal. The room was very large and exceptionally clean.

I booked two rooms for a special treat to spend time bore and after our theatre trip to see Vicente Simone and Flavia Caccacia in the Last Tango at the Sunderland Empire. Wonderful next door to travelodge for a tasty meal. 5 minute walk to town centre.

We just stayed for the 1 night. Wonderful stay. Staff very friendly. Very clean and everything in good working order. Only 5 minutes walking distance from the Sunderland Empire Theater which was the reason for the visit. Also a Wetherspoons next door. Would definitely recommend

The usual standard travelodge except this one is very clean, very central, weather spoons is next door but quite in the room and there free parking, its also very close to the bridge shopping center. what more could you want for a night out?
