Located in the Great Otway National Park and just a short drive to the Great Ocean Road, Forrest River Valley offers country-style accommodation in a luxury studio room with contemporary furnishings and full length windows to enjoy the spectacular valley views across our rural property. Enjoy a full cooked breakfast on your private balcony with only the local bird life for company. Or book our newly furnished Blue Wren Studio- a self-catering studio especially outfitted for a couple with a king bed(or two singles) with spectacular views across our rural valley to the Otway National Park beyond. Enjoy breakfast on the large deck with the many birds that frequent our native garden; spot a mob of kangaroos in the valley below; maybe you will be lucky and see a magnificent wedged-tailed eagle in the sky above.

Detailed Reviews
My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Forrest River Valley B&B - a highlight was the large balcony overlooking rolling hills and forest in the background. There is abundant bird life and we were able to enjoy a full view of the stars on a clear night. The B&B was spotless and very comfortable, including a very large king size bed. It is a short drive to the main street of Forest and all of the surrounding walking trails. Carol and Bob were very hospitable and accommodating too - we are so happy we chose to stay here. Highly recommended.

Sweet spot, great views, very private and secluded, perfect romantic getaway. Easy access to Forrest centre. Floor to ceiling picture windows with door leading to spacious balcony/terrace at Blue Wren Studio overlooking farmland - pastoral delights, variety of birds. Lovely pitched roof. Instructions for internet not accurate, no successful connection. But only a minor blip, good to disconnect from the iPad. Lovely 2 nights. Definitely will need to come back.

We are well travelled and enjoy luxury. We booked Blue Wren for a holiday away from home. The room and facilities were impeccable clean and well thought out. So perfect for couples as it's quiet serene private and the view to wake up to was beautiful. Gorgeous birds and a great deck for yoga meditation and relaxation. We really didn't want to leave. Well worth the money and drive.

So glad you and Luke enjoyed your stay Vena. It is really hard during this pandemic to get away for a few days (especially us Victorians!) Yes the Blue Wren Studio has spectacular views and the bird life in the garden is always a hit with visitors. Thankyou for the glowing review

We are glad you enjoyed your stay in our newly furnished Blue Wren Studio. Our self-catering option at Forrest River Valley has been popular with visitors to Forrest. Great weekend for all the mountain bike riders who came to Forrest for the annual Otway Odyssey 👍

We had a wonderful weekend at this very private B&B. It is a short distance to Forrest and a 15 minute drive to Brae. The suite we had was beautifully finished in high quality furniture and was very private. The Balcony gave us great views of the valley and the opportunity to view and listen to the vast bird life. The breakfasts were wonderful and our hosts were very professional.

It is always good to know our little B&B hits the right note with our guests. Spring is a great time to visit the Otways. Yes there is an abundance of bird life around Forrest. We enjoy waking up to the numerous birds around the farm- all chirping their special call and enjoying the warmer Spring weather. Thank you for taking the time to write that lovely review John.

What a great experience, from the booking to the farewell. Carol & Bob were perfect hosts...you knew they were there if you needed them but not in you face at all. The accommodation was lovely, clean, quiet with a garden full of birds and out of town. Breakfasts are served in you room, and come on time, well preapred and hot. The apple pancakes are delicious. I would recommend this B&B to anyone wanting to be near Forrest, bike tracks & sheer beauty on your doorstep. Lake Elizabeth, Stevensons Falls, Otway Fly & zipline to mention just a few.

We can't thank our hosts enough; we had some motoring issues which they helped us with graciously. The facilities are excellent and there are tonnes of little extras which are very kind. The breakfast (to order) was delicious and cooked to a high standard. Our hosts were helpful yet gave us space and were very professional. The room was spotlessly clean and well equipped; in restful farming surroundings. There were many birds attracted to the beautiful garden which could be observed from our private balcony. Many thanks

We stayed here as we were dining at Brae Restaurant about half an hour away. The B&B is part of the owners house. They were very accommodating yet not intrusive. Welcomed you to their B&B, should you to your room and left you to do your own thing. They arrive with a lovely hot breakfast in the morning at the time you nominate. The room is spacious with balcony overlooking the valley, lovely morning fog to look at. Would recommend if you are wanting a peaceful night away.

We were impressed with the quality of our room, and the views from the balcony were great. The bird life kept us entertained while having breakfast, and when just relaxing.
The choice of breakfasts was really good, and the serves were very generous.
Our room was very private, and we had undercover carparking.
Bob and Carol were friendly and helpful, and we would recommend this B & B to anyone looking for a quiet few days in the country.

You chose a great time to visit Forrest Jean- the bird life is really active this time of the year. After you and Paul left we had a visit from a group of king parrots on the balcony where you stayed ( looking for hand-outs as usual) It’s always good to know our guests enjoyed their stay at Forrest River Valley.

We went for one night and it was perfect. What a view and so quiet😊
Carol was so sweet and helpful.
The only thing missing was binoculars, so that we could see all the wild life in the valley. We went on the platapus tour and it was okay to let our things stay and return before tjek out.
Good service!
