We got located in the older part of the holtel. but the room held good standard. The beds vere nice and the wiev was fantastic. A bit of maze running between 3rd and 4th floo, but overall a nice, traditional hotel.

Me and my Girlfriend like to travel thru the Historic Hotels of Norway. Alone the meaning of Historic Hotels makes us happy that where stay is a place of History. When we arrived the Receptionist was very welcoming and friendly. We arrived just before 7 and been told that Dinner will be served in the Main Restaurant at 7. We...

The Dr. Holms Hotel in Geilo, Norway is about half way between Bergen and Oslo on the train route. It is a neat old (but modernized) hotel with charm of olden times. The rooms were comfortable with private bathrooms. Geilo is a ski resort town so traveling there in the fall or spring makes is a nice quiet town to...

Many beautifully furnished dining and common rooms throughout the hotel. Wonderful porch overlooking the city. Room 416 – Room style was like an old fashioned dormitory. Small size. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Beds are longer than the wall so you can hit your foot on the wall corner at night. Reading nights are too low & over the bed...

We went to this hotel in September. Sadly, it was not ski season so it was a complete ghost town. This is a fairly old but charming hotel. Rooms are alright. Kinda small but clean. The shops right in front close at 4pm. Good thing they have a bowling alley and a spectacular spa. Free wifi was offered but the...

Room 320. Dingy and basic. It is located right over the bar and large TV room. Also close to the front door area where lots of people hang out to smoke. This room had curtains that were torn, just hanging over the bathroom window and holes in the walls where pictures may have been removed and walls never repaired ....

the hotel is huge, there are new and old wings. So you may get lost! The interior of the hotel room is a little bit old, I find that the lights in the room can be brighter. I putting up for a night, so is still okay for me. The wifi is slow but better than none. Is a very...

I have stayed here twice in the last two years but both times have been a delight. Even though it is a little confusing finding one's room there is ample to look at along the way. Traditional Norwegian rosemaling is painted on the doors and on trunks in the corridors. The rooms need a little updating but are adequate and...

We called here for lunch as part of an organised tour day out, normally these type of lunches are buffets, crowded and average....but not this time. A 2 course lunch served at the table, pork, boiled potatoes and veg was on offer, what surprised us was the quality of the pork....excellent. Good service, hotel is in a lovely location and...

The hotel had lots of character and the double room had a sofa and chairs, which meant we could all gather as a family. We ate in the bowling alley attached to the hotel and although it was burger and pizza, the were freshly cooked, good portions and were delicious.
