I had the Veggie breakfast all ok. Tinned mushrooms could have been fresh. Fried bread overdone and left. Partner had Full English. Poached egg overdone and not runny. Good sausage and bacon. Service very good, friendly and efficient. Ambiance all good. Clean and tidy.

Thank you for this. Sorry to hear that there was some less favorable aspects to your breakfast. Its a real shame that the poached eggs and fried bread were overcooked on this occasion. You can't beat a runny poached egg, a vision we all share, I'm not sure how we arrived at this, you post will serve as a reminder...

Accommodation is in two annexes at the back which cuts down on some of the road noise. I was in the older one that looks like it has recently been refurbished. Simple decor but plenty of space and storage. Lovely big walk in shower with plenty of hot water. Lots of little touches like flannels, bottles of water etc. Was...

This was our second trip to the White horse in the last few weeks and on our previous visit we'd had a good feed and pleasant experience. This is one of the few pubs in the area that serves food all day so it's a useful option if you have young kids and waiting til after 6pm isn't practical. However,...

We stayed in January on the Deal they were offering. I didn't have the chance to review at the time but this is an excellent Inn! The accommodation was lovely; clean, warm and welcoming. The food was of a very high standard; appealing menu, tasty food that is well presented. The service is exceptional. The breakfast is extremely good and...

Turned up with my 2 children on a busy Saturday evening, was half expecting like many pubs to be turned away as one of busiest times but was given a lovely table near the log burner and in a nice quiet area.We had a lovely young waiter who looked after us.We ordered and food was quick and piping hot.Very shocked how...

Nice enough food, and friendly service. But the choices aren't massive. Basic options are all there, but limited tasty/healthy vegetarian options. Soup tasted very bland, and suspiciously like a Campbell's tin soup! But nice setting, and good enough food.

Hi Squash addict, I do hope we haven't put you off! We do aim to keep our range of choices in check and to offer more popular dishes so that we are keeping things as fresh as we can. I can reassure you that we don't use tinned soup! but I am a bit disappointed in view that we use...

The whole experience was first class from start to finish. Lovely food, good choice of ales, faultless service and the room was spot on and immaculate! We shall definitely be coming back again. Nothing too much trouble and very well run. Very highly recommended

I've been here more than a few times and the food is always perfect and the service is excellent. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area or driving along the a140. We will definitely be visiting again soon as there's so many meals I would like to try!

Stopped off for lunch at this tradiional cosy pub as we were driving passed. Restautant was very busy and service was on the slow side. Food was worth waiting for we both thoroughly enjoyed it. My partner and I stayed here for one night as a weekend away. We could not fault this hotel one bit! The premises were gorgeous and the 'old...
