This is the best campground we have ever visited! Found this place while staying at the Cape Bretton Highlands park. We decided to drive up first without the travel trailer to take a look at this and another campground as we were not sure about the drive in towing our 15ft 3000lbs RV. The drive was fine and the view... More

We were getting nowhere finding a campsite and stumbled across this place in our way to Meat Cove....what a find....right overlooking the water and peacefully quiet with just the buoy making its presence known. Checking in was great, the lady was quick, efficient, and extremely pleasant. It was nearing 20:00 and we were given an RV spot closest to the... More

We stayed for a couple of nights in a tent. This place is quite the gem...the outhouses and shower are very clean. The little details are what made this place so special ..I love the sound of the bouey at night while gazing at the stars. I like how you have the view of the ocean ..although it can get... More

My husband and I drove up to Cape Breton without knowing that season doesn't start till May 20. Luckily enough the lovely owner was kind enough to let us stay and camp there. We were in awe at the amazing views, all locals were also very friendly. Thanks for memories!!

At the apex of the Cabot Trail, perfect stopover point for tent campers. Beautiful spot, very well run and maintained, only a dozen or so sites so check availability. Bay St Lawrence is small but local food available if needed.

This place is right at the top of Cape Breton island. It's pretty far from any kind of restaurant or convenience store so come prepared to cook over a fire! You can buy firewood on site and there is wifi in the little hut that also has a shower you can use. The toilets are in the middle of the... More

My fiancé and I stayed at Jumping Mouse one night and both agree that it was one of the highlights of our 2-week trip to the Maritimes. The view from the cabin was just unbelievable. My favourite part of our stay was waking up in the morning and having breakfast while looking out at the ocean and listening to the... More

Jumping Mouse was just adorable. Mary and Boomer the cat were very welcoming and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised to see so much stuff in the office "lounge" available for guests to use: cookware in case your forgot yours, buckets of firewood, binoculars, bug repellant, toys, etc. And there's free WIFI at the office. There are artsy little touches everywhere... More

Spouse and I loved this place. The view (from space 1) over the bay was spectacular. An "automatic" fog horn out in the bay lulls one to sleep at night. It is a bit Woodstockian, which is a good thing, the grounds created from farmland and minimally manicured between sites. Clientele was eclectic. The proprietor's sister was overseeing the place...
