We've stayed here before. It's great value for money. Room was clean, modern bathroom and furnishings. Plenty of lighting, much better than the one main light in the middle of the room. Meals at the hotel were good value and the staff were so friendly and efficient. The hotel is situated next to a railway station for convenience. Also, cars are parked in a secure gated car park. Will definitely returnj.

The rooms are comfortable, everything works, air conditioning is fine. Downsides: every time you leave the room you must take your entry card with you; this turns off the power and you have to set the clock and re-start the air conditioner when you come back. You only get one card, so if one person goes out there is no power for the people remaining, and if they go out they can't get back in.

Food in the bistro is good, serves plenty big enough, prices reasonable, service a bit slow.

We spent one night in the Quality Hotel Bayswater. Overall, it was very good to excellent.
We were in a standard Queen bed room, and it had all the standard amenities. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and, despite being next to a pub and across the road from the train station, very quiet. Fast, free wifi and friendly staff.
Our only complaint was the lighting. This room really needed some bedside lamps and a reading lamp. The overhead lights were badly placed and unpleasant. The bathroom needs much more lighting. It was nearly impossible to use the bathroom mirror because it was dark.
There is a lot to like about this hotel, especially the location and price. It wouldn't take much to really improve it.

Room was clean and spacious.
Did not appreciate the 6:30am wake up by cleaning staff. Emptying glass bottles filled bins, opening and closing doors, vacuuming …. This all could have been performed at a more reasonable hour.
Won’t be choosing to stay again.

For ten years I have stayed at the bayswater hotel and since new owners cost of rooms have doubled poor service zero care for long term customers. But got to find their overhaul I guess . Huge shame!!!! 225$ for dog box room plus 150$ bond . And that’s room near railway station.

Terrible hotel the rooms are overpriced
There was no hot water from the basin
On their web site they said they had a cafe when I got there they told me it had shut down.
Also never informed me there was major construction across the road at the train station, they were banging in pylons from midnight till five in the morning so no sleep all night. Was booked for another night but got the hell out of there , for another $50 I booked into the Hilton
Wouldn’t let my dog stay there

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Rooms are tiny unlike photos.

First of all booking stuffed up and only booked for one night instead of two.

Dirty walls, paint peeling, beds slope to the side, blinds don’t keep out any light, kids running up and downs stairs screaming, door to block kept banging as people entered the building all night.

Even had a fight right outside our window. Then woke up to silly string over our car.

The buffet also very average, but we weren’t told other food options (pizza bar) would not be available as they are closing down for renovations. Also only offered a $10 discount to buffet AFTER we had paid.

Room was average size, a little on the dark side but reasonable clean. Washing Machine in the laundry looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a very long time.
If I were to stay again I would request a room at the back of the hotel so 1) closer to the car and 2) less road noise.

Great value was worth getting the spa room. We had room 2 which was directly above reception and did not hear any of the current railway/bridge works. Bottleshop/ bar downstairs is handy. Room was very clean, bed comfy with extra pillows and linen in good condition. Free secure parking. Definitely recommend.

Reasonably well maintained rooms and property, starting to show its age nevertheless. The price was good though considering its location with the train station just across the road. I would only stay 1 or 2 nights max. Small room but with everything needed including a comfy bed.

Room Tip: Construction of a new railway station is in progress so noisy during the day but not at night.
