Wonderful atmosphere at this fantastic setting. Beautifully decorated for Christmas with a massive tree in the hallway. Great food and plenty of it. Friendly and welcoming staff. We were given plenty of time to relax after the meal in the warm and comfortable lounges.

My partner whisked me away and surprised me with a night at this hotel. I was lucky enough to stay in the bridal suite which was amazing. It had a four poster bed and double jacuzzi bath! The hotel itself is beautifully old with original period features. There is a roaring open fire when you walk in. Staff are very...

Visited Mellington Hall on 24th December. The hall was festooned with Christmas decorations and a massive Christmas tree. A warm welcome by both the staff and roaring fire. Mulled wine and food on offer were superb. To top the evening off a group of Carol singers stopped off. What really made the evening was the attention to detail. The manageress...

First visited 1 Jan 2016 and keep returning. A glorious ambience, great staff, wonderful food. We haveshared this jewel with many friends now and all have been delighted. No portion control on the welcome we recieve either. Sadly I can't comment on the wines or beers as I am normally the driver, perhaps this is a justification for an overnight...

Our party of sixty plus from a walking group had a Christmas Lunch at Mellington Hall. It is the current venue of choice for our group that needs a larger establishment with atmosphere and good service and this year was probably better than December 2015 except for one thing... We had a beer in the bar before lunch, Three Tuns...

Went for Sunday lunch to celebrate a 70th birthday. There were three of us. All-round excellent from the moment we walked in to the moment we left - a warm welcome from attentive staff who were yet not in your face! Even the younger staff had impeccable manners and service standards. The food was lovely, cooked and served to perfection...

We stayed one night in October. The hotel itself is in a fascinating Gothic Revival style house with a lovely welcoming central hall area used as a guest lounge Our room was fine having a lovely view and a decent bathroom. Perhaps in need of a big of TLC but it was fine. We dined in the restaurant for dinner....

The set lunch is a very affordable prices for either 1,2 or 3 courses and all our various dishes were cooked to perfection. The dessert choice offers an...

It is great looking hotel, building dates back to 1876. Great location, great views, friendly staff, good breakfast, comfortable bar and the inside of the building with the carved wood is very impressive. When it was first built it must have been amazing. However saying that the room we stayed in especially the bathroom was a bit tired. Its always...
