We stayed two nights in the Lakeview suite at this stunning farm retreat. The property is set high on a ridge overlooking the Gippsland lakes and has fantastic views down to Paynesville. Day and night, in any weather there is something beautiful to see. The Lakeview suite is spacious, well appointed and very comfortable. The hosts are welcoming and friendly. If you’re looking for a relaxing break away from the crowds yet within driving distance of some of the most beautiful places Gippsland has to offer then this is the place for you.

We had 3 nights in the “Burrow “ this place is amazing and explored the lakes area that we hadn’t been back to in too many years
The building is fantastic with a kitchen big enough for 2 and really nice linen in the bedrooms

Graham and Debbie built a unique place there - it was my first time to be exposed to such level of sustainable living architecture. It was about +40C outside, but thanks to the really unique architecture there was like +25C inside, and no air conditioning whatsoever! Most of the furniture is built by Graham out of recycled timber, and the atmosphere is very cosy and pleasant.
Being a beginner woodworker I loved having a long chat with Graham about what he does... In short - wonderful experience and most definitely would visit again!

I recently spent four nights here to simply "have a break" from Melbourne. I loved my stay, and wished I could have stayed longer. I spent one night in The Burrow and three nights in Lakeview. The layout and space in both was lovely, but I loved the view from Lakeview - I could have just stayed there and enjoyed the view for days more!

Amazing place to stay.
Amazing place to stay for few days when in the area and to experience the eco living.
There are 2 units in the retreat, first one is one bedroom and second one is two bedrooms apartment with fully equipped kitchen and barbecue.
We stayed in the two bedroom apartment and it was great. The rooms were clean, comfortable and very pretty. The house is built in such a way that it stay cool even in 40C heatwave.

What a perfect way to unwind after a few days of business in Melbourne. A night here is not enough as we travel onto Sydney. Quiet seclusion is in order if you stay in this beautiful B&B with delightful hosts. Fall asleep to a star filled sky and awaken to Kookaburras in a comfy fully equipped self contained area. The fridge is stocked with bacon and eggs, fresh bread milk and butter and cereals and jams are on the side for you to do your own breakfast.
Delightful- we will be back but for longer next time!!

Secluded, tranquil and very comfortable, we loved being able to finish an 11 day road trip in the delightful “Burrow”. The sunset was spectacular.

Absolutely lovely farm stay. Perfect for long walks or just doing nothing but relaxing. The hosts Debbie and Graham are friendly and helpful but very unobtrusive you feel like you have the whole farm to yourself. The unit we stayed in the Burrow is so very well set out with everything you might need. Perfect place to reconnect with nature or each other or a great base to visit some of the iconic places in the area.

What a spectacular place to stay with equally spectacular hosts ☺️ I HIGHLY recommend a retreat in this slice of Gippsland heaven. Loved the coffee, the kookaburras, the eco conscientious design, the on-point country chic decor, the scenery, the comfort, the peace and tranquility. The friendliest and most down to earth hosts are some of the best I’ve met in all my travels. Needless to say- I will be back 👌🏼👌🏼☺️

A clean and comfortable place to stay. Our hosts were delightful, the breakfast plentiful and the accommodation brilliant, The earth covered building is extra quiet as well as light and airy. We stayed in the Burrow and had a lookout over the bush with several bird and animal visitors. We bought a meal to share between the 4 of us and kicked back with some wine and cards. A great night with friends in great surroundings.
