We arrived at the hotel very late without a reservation. Fortunately, the pleasant owner was able to accommodate us at a good rate. As it was late the restaurant was closed, so he went to a lot of trouble to call some local restaurants to find one open for us. He informed them we would be arriving and then drew...

My in-laws go there every year and this time I was lucky to be part of the trip. We stayed in this magnificent hotel, one which epitomises the "don't judge a book by its cover" quote. My German was and still is not up to standard but we were professionally welcomed and briefed. First thing we did was have a...

We stayed here for one night during a week-long bike tour. We loved cooling off in the pool after a hot ride, and chilling out in the garden at dusk. Lovely fountain and whimsical garden ornaments, shady spots, beautiful flowers, shrubs and trees. American woman who works at front was very helpful when we arrived, and German man was very...

I was travelling on business, so relaxation wasn't right at the top of the list, but couldn't help but appreciate how relaxing the place was. The staff were friendly and really helpful, especially as I had to leave so early in the morning. As a business traveller the wifi was a little temperamental, but when connected was fast.

Nice family hotel. Stayed 2 seperate nights within one week. First in the smaller and older rooms downstairs and received an upgrade for the 2nd night. Rooms slightly bigger with a (much) better bathroom. The oldest bathrooms are in need for some modernization though everything is clean. It just looks quite outdated. Breakfast is very nice and there is a...

Stayed as part of a wedding party, was made to feel very welcome. Room was lovely with a little balcony overlooking beautiful gardens. Excellent breakfast. Host was brilliant, gave us good information about the area and getting about. Will stay again when in the area.

Stayed at the Auggen Hotel several times for business. The staff always went above and beyond and made us feel right at home every time. Would love to take a vacation and stay there again. Their breakfast is wonderful and every room I stayed in weather in the garden or at the hotel was very clean and nice. The pool...

Its not posh or trendy, but this hotel is a great find and great place to stay. Located in a tiny village between Basle and Frieburg this is home away from home. Nice rooms, great staff, lovely gardens and lounges, and with a honesty bar as well. Sitting in the lounge with a fire going is a perfect end to...
