Nes Gard was the most perfect B&B you could ask for. I love staying in lodging where the family who owns the facility lives there and manages the staff. The family has lived there for many generations. The staff was very attentive and made a...More
We spent two days at the Nes Gard during our recent trip to Norway. This turned out to be the high point of the trip. The setting on the hill overlooking the Fjord and Feigurn Waterfall was quite picturesque. They sever a more than ample...More
Nes Gard is a seasonal hotel (May-September) overlooking the stunning Sognefjord. It will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of our Norway visit, embodying everything that is good and charming about this country: charming welcome, beautiful surroundings, lovely rooms, delightful staff and superb food in...More
We have been three weeks in different places in Norway, and we agree with one of the opinions: the best place in our short experience in Norway. Not enough words to tell how good, how profesionals, how nice people there. Food is superb. Views are,...More

Hi, I do not know how this misunderstanding has arisen, but I do not run a guesthouse in Norway, but am a fellow-traveller ensconced in England. I am sorry to disappoint you. However, though a wonderful place, Nes Gard is too far from Flam and you would be better advised to seek accommodation in that town itself.
Nevertheless, if you find yourself around the Sognefjord in your Norwegian travels, do stay there as I can highly recommend Nes Gard, both as a guesthouse and as to its location. As we toured Norway by car, I cannot advise how to reach it by public transport.
Enjoy Norway - it is a beautiful, friendly and dramatic country.

"Select a room with a view of the Fjord -- it's a little more expensive but well worth it."
