This gives the real feel of being in the TV series except that the surroundings are much busier and fans are all around the building taking pictures most of the time. We must be in hundreds of people's holiday snaps! The interior where you go...More
It helps if you have seen the TV series or read a few of Andrea Camilleri's books, otherwise you won't understand why all the tourists are taking photographs of the building that you are staying in! It has a nice shared lounge area and breakfast...More
I was travelling alone and I was given a single room, overlooking the sea - the view was fantastic and the room was everything I needed. From the moment I contacted Maria to inquire of availability until the very end of my stay, she and...More

We are glad you appreciated your stay and our hospitality.
Come back soon, we are waiting for you!
Lovely setting on the beach, and very familiar from the Montalbano series as the starting point for his breakfast etc. The surroundings are picturesque too in this very small town area, although there is lots of development in surrounding areas.
Fantastic location. Small B and B, so very peaceful. Maria is an excellent host and is prepared to give a lot of time to help you plan trips and to tell you all about Montelbano.

Dear Minna K,
La Casa di Montalbano it's not so far from Taormina, about 181 Km.
During the travel, you will meet some bridge, but no one is so scary :)
See you soon

We paid 100 euros/night for a double room with sea-view and en-suite. Our friends paid 90 for a double without a sea-view. All rooms are clean, well-equipped and sufficiently spacious. The included breakfasts are fine. We paid slightly less in Syracusa for a less well equipped room, without a view and with a more limited breakfast. In my view, this B&B is good value for money even for those without an interest in Montalbano.
